Hi,lm looking for an answer to what I have fried on my 01 fat boy. I took the positive lead off the battery first and in doing so touched the frame with a screwdriver.I reconnected and it is dead power wise. What do I need to replace?

Fuse or the like? Battery ok?

+ve to the frame should in theory blow your main fuse.  NFI were it is located on your model, but thats the starting point (Check all the fuses as it could have taken out more than 1) 

You've obviously checked fuses before asking here ?

My 96 sporty had a self resetting breaker, sometimes it needed a tap until I changed it, have seen batteries give up the ghost from a quick short, not the norm but if it's on its way out that can be enough to finish it.
