Anyone going to the hog rally at the Bend?  Is it worth it?  Opinions 

I've bought a ticket... no accommodation, so likely commute each day from my daughters place in Adelaide. Be my first rally so I'm staying neutral

I used to enjoy Rallies in my youth!  Cold Kiwi etc etc (I hold the dubious honor of being the first Harley to do the burn out smokey thing - got her up to 5th gear doing it.  People said the rear wheel stopped each time I changed gear and then restarted....I may have been about 2/3rds into a bottle of JD's at the time).  There are several that I know I was at BUT cannot remember a thing due to the entertainment.

If you are hanging out with like minded people I can't imagine it being a bad thing

I worked at a couple with a mate who had an oilskin clothing business. Used to park the Sporty next to the marquee, set up with the gear we were selling, oilskin tarp hooked to the bars and sissy bar, pegged out at the side, swag set up underneath, oilskin coat and pants hung on it. Wasn't just for show, I'd camp in it for the weekend. Had Willie G and wife stop and admire the setup, he reckoned he liked Sporties.

I’m getting an unpowered site. Figure it wil be ok for two nights. September surely not cold. I just think being right there is better. Could stay with a mate in Murray Bridge but although I’m not a big drinker these days,it’s not worth the risk. Might see you there.

Not sure. I had to quote my hog club membership number to buy a ticket. Will try to find out.
