A few weeks before today when he realised the polls were accurate. Huge waste of money and a further failure of the Albo government.

    Glad it’s lost.
All I want know is for someone to get in and fix the system that , at a guess, billions has been squandered on over the years.

there will no doubt be a change in the "Voice" criteria, then back to the polls for a "lets keep doing this till we get it"

I did read something that after the next election the sitting Liberal government will have there version put up, I hope I heard it wrong

I cant see the need for it all, we all recognize they were here first, and I think maybe could be reflected in the constatution, but thats all, no group running the country, telling us all how it should be, look how that was going when European settlement started, still stone age tribes living off the land, sorry, I cant live that way
not even touching how much money it will cost us

Two of my adult children identify, 3 of my grandkids do as well, it's been a prickly 12 months, I started as a yes, ended up a no, I'm no bloody racist but I know a bludging c#nt when I see one and they come in all colours. Albo could of salvaged this, recognition in the constitution and if passed a legislated voice that could be used until it was no longer needed or proven worthless, stubborn bastard has caused more fucking damage in 12 months than he will ever understand.

Your right Hilly, the damage caused, both sides got dirty, I started off in the yes camp also, but like you I could see a lot of cunts lining up for a payday, and most of those have been at the trough for a long time. I hope the younger generation can move many of them on.

Well I'm gonna dissent and say I was disappointed, shit when did my country get so scared? Not the first time I've found myself out of step with my country, probably won't be the last. After all I'm the bloke with the couple of Victories in the shed as well as the Sporty. Not gonna sook over it or say any more, had a few Bundy's on the rocks.

I've tried to work out why Albanese kept forging ahead with this and the only logical reason that I can come up with (and that's a big call allowing any possibility that he is actually intelligent and/or has any logic) is that it was specifically what the Voice architects wanted, and his election promise was that he'd deliver it .

I'm assuming that they would only accept constitutional recognition with the Uluru statement and nothing else. Therefore the outcome was two questions got asked as one question and NO was the answer, instead of two questions being asked and one being answered with an emphatic YES while the second one got a NO.

Yeah, I’m thinking the process was an election promise he can now tick off. Despite the crocodile tears I don’t think he ever expected it to get up.  He didn’t even read the whole Uluṟu statement.  When pressed on that matter he said why should I.  Gotta question whether that’s appropriate for someone claiming to be committed to the cause.

I think a big part of the whole thing would have been better off if the did not ask the one question, but rather two
    1) should we formally acknowledge the Aboriginal people as the first nation people in our Australian constitution. yes/no
    2) should we form "The Voice" to advise our parliament ........... yes/no

I think #2 would never get up, but I think #1 may have been close or even passed, not like we can argue they weren't here first

I have a bit of a soft spot for the poor old Abos.
Since the  white man got here they have been forced to drink alcohol  and beat up their women and sexually abuse their kids.
Some of them even have   to go to work.  And go to the dentist and the doctor and stuff.
There is no doubt they are the most primitive race of people in the world and they have had a lot of learning to do in the last 200 odd years.
I honestly do have a soft spot for them but the fact of the matter is they are a bunch of useless cunts.
