Anyone used them? Lots of adjustment, read up pretty good, Dan from Traxxion rates them but I'd really like to hear from a local that has first hand experience.

I posted this question on multiple hd sites, no one knows much, so I got hold of Dan from Traxxion Dynamics as I have chatted to him in the past about suspension stuff and he is free with his knowledge plus they used to list/sell them so figured his opinion would be worthwhile.
    His words....

I’ve sold a few over the years, and it’s the best shock I’ve seen for the Softails. The shock is based on the one they developed for high end scooter racing, which is huge over there. It’s higher quality than the softail shock Ohlins used to offer.

So based on my own research and a few other things he had to say I ordered a set from Italy as I could not find a local distributor/dealer.

I'm sure I've mentioned before, I'm running Bitubo shocks on my Fxdx.
Got them from Italy via eBay .

Great build quality. I can't fault them, especially for the price .
I would expect the softail shocks to be the same .

Got em, they appear to be good quality, weigh 3kgs apiece so they all steel, keen to get them on and see how they roll.

Put em in, no ride report on em yet, set them up to the standard settings according to the literature that came with them, that will be the base line, see how they roll tomorrow.

Took a ride out Harvey's Range Road to the Burdekin Bridge, all the way out I was trying to focus on the suspensions performance, my mind kept focusing towards to the front end unless I hit a big one, even then they soaked it up, no bone jar but you still know it's there, pulled up for ten minutes near the bridge for a leg stretch, jumped back on and it really struck me how compliant the rear felt, I will give them a bit more time to settle in but at this point I think a couple less clicks of compression will smooth it out some more, currently 14 clicks back from fully closed, pretty happy so far.

Thanks for the running commentary GM. I’ve found it a great read. 👌

After two rides on the Bitubo's I backed the compression out two more clicks each, I think there are 22 positions, I'm now out 16 from fully closed, will see how that feels next ride. Very easy to get to the adjusters even on the side stand.

I managed to hit a big enough woop in a causeway exit to bottom them out, so went back to original setting then added two more clicks in, tested again, no bottom out and feels smooth as, so 12 clicks out from closed is the setting for me 1 up.

Have tied these down now as well, I could not find a sag setting from a reputable business to run with, so with a bit of testing I ended up with the preload 1 full turn out from max, left the compression setting at 12 out from closed, two up I have kissed the bumper once, big double whoop coming out of a causeway, not normal cruising, what's even better is it's great one up as well, I rate them.
