Pulled the trigger on a new 2023 breakout, 475 cams and freedom pipes. Rode the stock one with only pipes and it went well.
Anyone have one already, and any info that I should know about... before I pick it up..

    Cheers

Congrates mate nice choice of bike, did you get to keep your warranty with the aftermarket cam?

Great question, they didn't bat an eyelid when I asked for them or tell me they wouldn't,  but I have asked them in writing. If they don't I will revert to the SE cam, 464 from memory.

I would definitely check if they will keep the warranty with the 475 cam which is probably a S&S one(if they do that's good), I have a 117 Lowrider S(same engine) I did 5000k's with the stock engine (apart from exhaust and stage 1 tune still with warranty) I then went aftermarket(not much warranty now) though Fuelmoto USA and sourced a Woods 22xe cam with upgraded lifters(stock ones rubbish),inner cam bearing(stock one shit) and adjustable pushrods with gaskets which came in a kit, with the 117's you should also go to larger injectors I went with SE 5.5gm/s ones(stock 4.38gm/s), The SE cams are fairly tame really I had the se462 in my previous 114 LRS and lost a little power down low but gained more higher up the rev range(approx. 4000rpm) If I did a se cam again I would do the se447 torque cam more power where you want it for general road riding/cruising, I have included some dyno runs via Fuelmoto - https://university.fuelmotousa.com/dyno-charts/

Cheers mate, just spoke to them they said no worries on warranty. Apparently over 50% of the cams they fit are the S&S and they warrant the workmanship. Only concern would be if they grenade I suppose but not ill take the chance. They are really confident with them.

I had a similar chat with my dealer, but was the other side of the equation.

Warranty is voided BUTTT they're really confident in the cam, and fit them all the time etc.

My worry wasnt the cam being the issue, but something else in the motor failing and then them not honoring warranty because they installed the cam.

In the end, they told me technically it would have no warranty, either by Harley OR the dealership, but I'll be okay because they fit these cams all the time.

I opted for a better setup outside of the dealer.

Cheers John, the comment was we warrant the workmanship.. I am keen for the cam so I'm running with it.

    Interesting answer to the question.

Would be nicer if they just said "yes the bike is still under warranty just the same as if you used an SE Cam" but I suspect they wouldn't say or put that in writing and that technically the power train warranty is voided.
