I have just fixed a job for a customer, which was done with a 107 kitted bike, 10.5 comp and these 583 cams. It had partially seized and was running like shyte. WAAY too much cylinder pressure. It was an unpleasant experience for both the owner and myself, costly as well.  As others have suggested the early  ( super early) inlet close figure means this cam is ok for  what you have now ie: getting good low end in a stock low comp 96 cube motor. I would respectfully suggest that whomever told you to use those cams in a 107 is not where you should be getting your next job done.

Interesting! Thanks for you response. Would you suggest just some head work with a good tune and not go the 107 or remove the cams before it’s all turns bad?

You are in good hands with Hoody and Lushy mate, the big question here is how do you ride and what do you want from the engine? Answer that and they can guide you to your goal.

Like GM asked, how do you ride, what do you want from the bike. If you are at 96 cubes, and want headwork, then you would need pistons, so the valve cutaways are good for larger valves, so I would select a piston (comp) and cam  to suit what you want, and go from there.. The one I just fixed, budget was an significant issue as he had already spent his money, so we changed the cam and valve springs, left the stock heads, but made them sound. You have options as you do not have to "rescue" anything.  How many kms has the motor done??

I just ride one out with a few of the boys around through the hills with a few long rides during the year. I do like to wrap it on here and “under the speed limit of course” as we most do!
Money is always the big one… I’d rather no pay for cams again if I want go further, so might just need to be happy where I sit, get a good tune done on it. Bikes just hit 30k and runs pretty nice. Maybe need to save $$ and look into something that’s rolling off the demo floors with ample more power.

That's probably your best bet if you don't want to change cams again, I know a lot of yanks prattle on about them and I know a shop up my way promotes them but there are better cams available.
