Chromeplating

    I am looking for recommendations for restoring chromeplating for bike parts, mostly chrome finish on aluminium parts.
    Anyone had good experience with any business in particular ? (or bad )

    That works too !

    So, electroplating has no space, chrome plating has a space.

    done a lot of  electroplating my self Jane Plating Kits I was doing copper and had great success, we were happy with a rough Finnish. Then I tried nickel and things got tricky very fast no success at all 

    THE TAKE AWAY IS:
     If looking at trying a home made kit I found to do chrome or nickel not easy and lots and lots of prep

    Im sitting on a Nickel kit myself atm - it looks easy enough BUT was an epic failure for some reason on a test piece.  Keeping the bath at 50-60 degrees is a bloody hard ask when working with 20 litres.  I am keen to give it another crack, but will do so on a smaller scale to get the 'process' right in my head.

    I would be keen to see how the prices pan out.  I am making a set of upswept pipes that will need chroming so a feel for how things cost nowadays would be nice.
