G'day blokes, recently bought a 2nd hand 2005 glide and looking to get a solid back rim. Found one for sale but it's a 16". I checked the specs for my bike and it SHOULD have a 16"rim/tyre on the back but actually has a 160/70R17 on it.
Is this common or has a previous owner upped the rim size?
    Thanks in advance for replies.

16 inch rim from factory. So if it has a 17inch then yes someone has changed it

Cheers Streetbob10. Any clue what was involved in changing up and or back? They a straight swap out? Im dealing with spoked rims and am not a fan. Swapping out my front rim with a star pattern and hopefully the back rim as a solid. I believe the back rim is running a 200 tyre. will need to confirm that's going to fit as well.

That will make the tyre choice easier if you decide to go off road riding.

    I changed the 16" X 3.5 rear on my 2000 FXDX to a 17" X 4.5 .
It was a matter of modifying the spacer width.
Also you may need to change bearings depending on the axle diameter .
The 200 tyre will be a bit wide for the guard and the belt/pulley .
I would suggest staying with a max 4.5" wheel width.
