I have ordered the Supertrapp open ended plate which uses the disc's still, I think this way I shouldn't need it retuned

I know a dyno tuner that runs a supertrapp on his personal bike that has 30 something plates with a closed end cap and an open end cap bolted over the top of it so he doesn't have to explain why he has a closed end cap.
My point I guess is it is horses for courses, his configuration of parts makes better power that way, I don't have the knowledge to say what your combination would need to get the best out of it, but for what you are suggesting I think you will be ok.
If it was mine I would do some data runs to see how much the VE wants to change but that doesn't cost me anything, dyno time is dollars, a man has to make a living after all.

lol I get questioned about the closed end cap regularly also, I did email Supertrapp about going to the open end cap I they reckon no retune needed, but my bikes going back to tuner for a billet compensator ramp and heavier clutch springs this winter so I'll get the tune checked then

this is the open end plate I ordered I ordered, pricey for what it is- https://www.easyr.com.au/supertrapp-end-cap-open-4-brushed-stainless-steel it goes under the end cap

The one you linked is the one I use, surprising it's not much louder than a closed set up but it is a deeper note, think you will like it.

exciting times & your bike will be a beast, I just seen Alpha performance post on Instagram of a '23 117 breakout with just a CR/ape 485 with stock intake no injectors, Freedom Sharp curve radius 2-2, result = 128hp @ 56300rpm & 136 @42500rpm, impressive for a cam & exhaust only

so I swapped in the open end cap and removed 10 disc's and it's quite a bit louder, sounds way better

Tuner sent me the baseline run of the stock as a rock 117 in the ST.

95HP / 118TQ, but the actual graph and curve is impressive as fk to me.

Also got a quick idle vid and it sounds awesome, tuning to come!

Ya got to put vids an soundtracks onto YouTube then link it back to here, takes up too much bandwidth or whatever to directly place them on this site I think I was told.

Latest update from the tuner. Still waiting on billet comp which is a bit annoying.

    Dyno done @ 2000ft

Bullshit power for the money ain't it, that head makes all the difference, wonder if you could shoehorn one onto a twin cam 😁

Yeah I agree. I paid for a bunch of what I'd consider "preventative maintenance" stuff, bigger injectors, aluminium manifold to replace the plastic one, billet compensator etc, but even if you were to just pay the $1500 for the cam package and add your exhaust and tune and would likely get 90-95% of those same results.

I bet you'll be pleased with that extra power, funny enough a young fella took me on at the lights the other day with what looked like a learner approved bike, I gave myself the shits as the front wheel kept lifting through 2nd & 3rd
