    Anyone doin more m8 work?

I've been looking at intakes, and looking like I'll order a HPi V2 shortly, and external breathers off the head just because.

Very impressed with their internal velocity stack setup that also physically blocks the intake bolts from backing out.

Then order all the APE gear.

What size throttle body and manifold are you going for John? I'm just doing the SE 55mm intake manifold, I was thinking of doing a larger intake set-up but decided against it as my parts list for the cam was big enough- Woods 22xe night prowler cam kit(cam, lifters, adjustable push-rods, bearing and gaskets), SE 55mm intake manifold, 5.5g/s injectors along with dyno tune, along with HD black push-rod covers and black lifter block covers to rid the bike of that chrome, I'm hoping for 120 plus hp and torque, my bike is going in next Monday for this job,

Pretty sure I'll just be going stock TB and 55mm manifold. The manifold is more for reliability, new throttle bodies is a pretty big jump in price.

The SE one will probably be on the cards. Will order it soon now that he HPI intake is ordered.

well I picked the bike up from the tuner and am pleased with the results. hopefully you can see the dyno chart from my picture 123hp with a decent 136 ftlbs of torque. I'm very happy with the power delivery and overall performance. lol I need a seventh gear now

Is that just the TB or does include cam?  (I was expecting a new cam to provide a new HP/TQ profile)

yes it has the woods cam the above dyno chart is blue line = with cam etc but the base tune only. the red line is after the tune. a std 117 lowriderS has approximately 95-100hp with around 112- 115 ftlbs of torque

Very nice, gotta be happy with that. Great gains on the cam, but more impressed from what it picked up on the tune. Hows the manners around town? Looks like it would pull super hard early which is nice.

    That'd be cam then cam+tune.

Knock 20hp off the pre-tuned, lower result for around what a stock M8 pulls

Yes very happy it is pretty quick off the mark now- just pulls like a train and no real need to rev it too hard through the gears as the torque pulls hard from 2000rpm. It's good around town too, i find it pulls in 6th gear from 100k's nicely also

Currently waiting for all my parts to arrive after ordering everything.

Ended up going the APE Stage 2+ stuff with 485 cam except with 6.2 injectors.
Clutch springs, billet compensator ramp, HPi Intake (still waiting) and Exhaust, SE 55mm manifold.

so the HPI intake is that like the air filter/elbow replacement- https://www.horsepowerinc.net/tunnel-ram-elbow-m8

That Ram elbow is one they offer, but not the one I went with.

I just went for the regular V2 setup with external breathers etc.

I've decided to have a play with my Supertrapp exhaust while the pipe performs well I would like a little more volume(louder) I have seen supertrapp does an open ended race only end-cap, apparently you remove the closed end cap along with 10 disc's so when the open-ended one is fitted it has the same back pressure

Nice work, makes sense to play around with it, thats exactly what its designed for. Worst case scenario is you can change it back to the standard setting you had it dyno'd with.
