I'm underwhelmed by the 2023 bikes, the lineup or the colours.

Nothing new at all, IMO the colours are all cack with the Heirloom red and cream looking like an indian ripoff.
Glad I got my gunship grey RG when I did.

I'd like to have seen just one of those concept drawings come to life.

The sporty 72's had some interesting paint, can't see why they can't offer those sorts of colours on any of them.

I got cleaned up by an old fart riding an early Goldwing on my FJ1200 through the hills coming back from Menindee in 1998ish, we both had passengers, he was far more committed than me, shook his hand when we got to the Hill, the Honda is a good bike.

Yeh it's not as bad a comparison as they may have intended. Nice bike but I wouldn't buy one haha.

    Could not agree more GM.
Some of those 72's had really cool looking "heavy flake" paint which looked ace.
I reckon the new Lowriders looked like great bikes, EXCEPT the fricken paint choices!. Black and grim grey....fuck that. Why not put out some interesting colours for such an exciting new model?. Am yet to even see one in the flesh. I wonder how many other people have baulked at buying one due to the dismal choice of colour?

Call me names if you will but I've always loved candy apple red, I saw a 57 chev in Melbourne when I was a kid and have never forgotten it. A bike that colour would be ace.

The Lowrider now comes in a white sand pearl now also, the grey seems to of finished with 2022 model, I liked the Red limited edition ST red paint- https://www.harley-davidson.com/nz/en/motorcycles/low-rider-s.html all Lowrider S's now come with cruise control which it should of had before now

Its a bit sad when the redeeming features are the '2023 color range' rather than any specific styling.  They need to re-hire Eric Buell and get some creative thinking into the design process.

Could this be the pinnacle of their petrol engine range development......ev roll out just around the corner and they have a few models other than livewire now?

I'd be surprised if they don't try a Rev Max based motor in a bagger before they pull out of making i.c. engines around 2040.
We are heading for a future where the riders farts will pollute more than the motor.

They may be talking about a transition time between 2030-2040 and beyond, but with the rate of Hybrid or full electric sales in cars just here in Australia perhaps it may well be the petrol supply that's going to force a more rapid increase in EV Harleys.
Currently we have 4% of passenger vehicles in Australia being EV. Our demand for EV cars increased by a whopping 67% last year and for the first time ever a EV made the top 10 best selling cars in Dec 2022..in position 8 was a Tesla beating a Tuscon and Cx 5.

Thats a chit color that blue - I would like to see it as a pearl and darker maybe!  Just buy a bike and paint it to whatever color you want.
