$1078.00 fined for no seat belt

    $1078.00 fined for no seat belt today no cunt on the road. O correct that, just me and the cops 2 minuets from home in a 50 k zone, first infringement for 9 years.

    Yep its not going to get any cheaper either.....its the government helping with the road toll.....sorry as i piss my pants trying to keep a straight face!

    I don't understand how me being fined $1078.00 and dropping 4 pionts, would make you smile or piss your pants.

    BD you've misunderstood....."its the government helping with the road toll"......that makes me piss my pants with the bullshit reasons they crap on with. "Every k over is a killer" approach, we must fine everyone for everything way off policing these days. Losing a grand and 4 points ain't funny at all bud.

    Yep well said Paul, I over heard a guy saying he was busted with 7 ounces of dope for the 3rd time and received $350.00 fine. No doubt they were selling it to all and sundry, seems dealing in drugs, is miner compared to not having a seat belt on. Recon if he is busted again the same fine will apply, on the other hand I was told if I get caught again for the same reason in 3 year's the fine will be doubled. Thats very strange!

    My mates wife was pulled over with the two kids in the car as the "auto rego recognition camera" on the cop car showed she had forgot to renew her rego. Fair enough, got no issue with that, its what followed....
    As she was now technically suspended from driving that vehicle  the offence now comes under anti hooning legislation so the copper was forced to remove the plates off the car. Whilst all this was happening she got online and paid the 2? 4? day overdue renewal and showed the cop who rightly continued on with his job. A towie was called, the car and wifey with tin lids dropped home. The husband/wife attended Maroochydore police station who were apologetic returned the plates after confirming the rego was now current and gave her a court appearance date. They still had her vehicle impounded.
    The magistrate was apologetic but unable to alter the minimum sentence of 1 month loss of lic under these anti hooning laws.  She received a hefty fine as well.

    The hand brake is saying she seen in a Sydney news paper that the cops are now getting 5 % of fines issued. At $1078.00 a fine and 10 fines a day they are on a pretty good wicket.

    Not sure what article your wife is quoting from but willing to bet it does not exist (go on, post it) but what a ridiculous assertion - cops getting 5% of the fine in Australia? They may be aunts but Australia is not Russia mate. Looks like you are spending too much time reading bullshit forums or (this one not included) or getting terrible advice.

    I asked the hand brake to speak with her Sydney source, about where the info was from, as I need verisimilitude. 
    The result is: Apparently she seen it in a cartoon....
    My apologies to HDF as the statement cops get 5% of the top of fines issued, is incorrect 
    The only take away from this is, my wife respected HDF and hunted down the truth
