    Wombat contacted me a couple of days ago and told me he was likely going to pull the plug.
    He didn't grab the bat and ball and go home. The game continues.
    He acknowledged there were some decent people here, but reckoned he would continue to clash with two frequent posters , and wasn't interested in going down that path.

    The forum sure has changed a bit over the years, reckon most of us have made some friends on here though.

    It seemed to me like he was trying pretty hard to get his post count up if nothing else. Why delete your account though? Just take a break for a while and/or don't engage the members you clash with if they're that big of a problem (unless you clash with everyone of course).

    There are some good, funny and very knowledgeable characters on here and I can honestly say I'd happily buy any of you a beer (or coffee or in steelo's case a sticky bun) with no problem, even though we don't always agree on things. What gets typed on a forum doesn't always come off as you see it in your head and reading comprehension (or lack of it) can and does cause some unnecessary issues at times.

    Good luck to Wombat though, it's a shame he felt this way.

    And here I was thinking he was just taking a break to finally wire in that GPS after months of deliberation. I hope he found peace.

    There’s always a person or two in any group that’s gonna annoy a given person whether that be here, at work, on tinder, in a social group and even at home, driving or riding around etc. To only find one or two persons here annoying, I’d say Wombat had it better than me haha

    I find you mildly annoying most of the time, sometimes a dead set prick, but you are spot on with this post.

    When I said  " same here " in reply to the original post by 408   I meant that wombat had contacted me and thanked me for my support.  Just like he must have done to 408.
    The whole thing was a storm in a fukin tea cup but a few people seem to have got their noses out of joint about it.
    I just think there is some heavy handed moderation going on on this site at the moment .
    I didnt  sign up for that shit.

    wombat will go down in history as a fukin legend.
    He is a bit like the Loch Ness monster.
    Or Big FOOT.
    He has his place in the history of this forum.

    That was Jay-Dee's observation in relation to the post count, but I don't agree with it.
    I reckon Wombat was excited just having found a group of Aussie Harley enthusiasts that he could put his questions to.

    Yeah, a shame he's pissed off instead of learning to just ignore those who give you the shits. I think that's called tolerance maybe?
