I run Lyndall pads on my Street Glide and they don't leave a ton of dust on the wheels or caliper. They do sound like a cicada when you jump hard on that front brake though.

+ 1 on the Lyndall Pads. Been using them for a few years and just picked up a set for the Night Train and a set for the Ultra.

Generally OEM equipment is bought/manufactured for a component price where price overrules quality/longevity. Aftermarket mostly is a upgrade to OEM but could be more expensive due to low volume and good quality.

Dunno what's on yours Wombat but on 2016 FLSS it has floaters front and back, stock pads, if it didn't have abs a handful of front brake would result in nose to road, Harley brakes used to be iffy, that's not the case these days, in my experience anyways, possibly had to lift their game in the land of litigation.

I guess what I'm saying is if you need rotors don't discount the later HD stuff based on the old.

A change to Brembo has been the savior for Hd compared to the crap used before.

Big them eagles, a mate shared the cab of his LandCruiser ute with a wedgy one fine evening in the Gascoyne, didn't recommend it.
What you have got will get you by for sure.
