Bike is running like a dream now. Not sure if the plugs or the Nulon stuff solved it but she's all good. The new plugs are NGK Iridium IX. Used a set on a previous bike and was happy with them. With regards to fuel, I am anal about what goes in my bikes or cars, BP 98 only unless I have no other choice. Will use other brands at a pinch and a lower grade fuel but only to get me to the next BP servo. Still plan on making up a Breather bypass for both bikes.
Just a heads up if anybody decides to buy NGK Iridium plugs, be careful if your buying from Amazon or Ebay. Mate bought some a while back and they turned out to be cheap Chinese knockoffs. Got mine from Repco but they had to be ordered.

Harleys run very well of showroom floor, just like cars

Maybe just twisting throttle bit more aggressively

I’ve been told by mechanics that work at 3 different shops not to run 98 in my hd’s as it’s too rich. Especially shell 98.
Always used 95 and never experience pinging, not even on a hot summers day.

95 is all you need over here unless you have a very high compression engine.

Even a stock bike will run better with a good tune, probably won't make any more peak horsepower but the engine will run smoother with more usable power when you want it and right wrist dependent it will also have good fuel economy, facts, done it a few times, blokes that were dead set on changing cams didn't bother when I finished, but a mild cam and a tune is way better again, and so it begins.
Edit, talking twin cams here, I would so cam an M8 if I had one, the gains are extraordinary.

Proper servicing and tuning at proper intervals (for me every 5000 miles)
Geez wouldn't think the oil was even warm at 3000klm! LOL
