you will dig the Quadlock, I have the Pro with the vibration mount and it is awesome.

Yeah that's the setup I've got. I'm thinking about removing the 'arm' part and mounting the vibration dampner directly to the clamp. Not sure If that's possible yet though.

Not exacy to the bike but yesterday I used earbuds to listen to music while riding, never done it before, love music but hated it, much rather listen to the bike, mull over my own thoughts and enjoy the ride for what it is.

    Agree 100%
I have done a few GoPro vids of rides and I enjoy listening to the sound of the bike when watching them later.
Don't get very excited watching bike videos with accompanying tunes.
Of course it helps if your bike sounds good.

Found it difficult to keep the ear buds in place puting the helmet on then a pain, literally, after 20mins. Never used them again. Will pump the tunes thru the speakers on the Street Glide when doing the boring highway bits though.

I very rarely ride without music. Actually just got a new set of earmolds sorted the other day.

    G'day,
has anyone tried Earmold ear pieces? They seem to fit right inside the ear.

I use custom earmold plugs, great bit of gear. Cancels out the damaging frequencies but still lets you hear the lower rumble and ambient sounds. I use them for shooting too.

Yeah had my last set for a good 7 years, just got a fresh set a few days ago.

As above, cuts out the wind noise and high pitch frequencies so my ears aren't ringing after a big day. Definitely the way to go.

I felt the same way using earbuds, they also fell out often, now I use a cardo bluetooth with speakers in the helmut, I use normal ear plugs and adjust the volume to suit, I never ride with-out it now.

I use the Cardo. Works very well even with ear plugs

Got the first 1600km service done yesterday and the heavy breather showed up so they fitted that. I put a couple of decals on the panniers too. I gotta say, almost 2000km into this bike now and I continue to be blown away by how good these tourers are. You just don’t want to get off the thing.

Decided to update the rear of the sissy bar as two simple circles seemed a little bland now.

Went for a nice ride after lunch up towards the upper Yarra Dam.
perfect day for the ride and really enjoyed it.

On the way back traffic was a little on the heavy side with people returning from the long weekend away
However, want to point out to the dickhead on the sportsbike riding on the double white lines in between traffic going both ways between Warburton & Yarra Junc & beyond (if you stumble across this post)-  you will end up dead if you keep doing that

First attempt was an epic failure...(smoke and chit everywhere - never do this on a wooden frame....lol)  I am going to have to make some small round steel circles that I can weld to a steel base and then do the curves.

Rode up the dirt towards Rainbow beach and dropped my bike, with the phone attached to the mount, on a creek crossing much to the amusement of the other boys. Phone is Fooked, bike needed the plugs removed to pump out the water but started and got up there and home. Just dropped the oil and it looks ok, unlike the phone! Can save the sim thankfully. Expensive 4hrs.
