Thanks for thinking of me mate. Been trying to respond to your pm for a couple of days now, but the address line keeps changing and I've now sent several to CHILLY which will puzzle him if he ever looks in here these days.
Whatever I do with the shocks is gonna have to be minimum spend, and that might need to be nothing at all. It's only comfort!
I'm pretty broke at the moment, living in a 120 year old ex govvy building is an expensive hobby.
Oz hardwood in the sections I need would have been cheap locally in 1903, it was a mill town, but sure ain't now.

Did a 5,000 km engine oil and filter change on my Electra Glide .
Every time I do this I clean the air filter.
This genuine hd product is 5,000 kms old from new and itโ€™s falling apart. Anybody had the same problem before? Itโ€™s a new one on me.

Maybe it's just old? That's the sealing rubber peeling off is it not?

    I have seen that before.

Time for a K&N replacement, they seem to last indefinitely in my experience.

K&N part number is HD-0800 for most Softail twincam applications.

    Yup, the outside edge.
Iโ€™ve replaced it 4 times since new, always with the same part number.
    Never seen it before.
