I know that they can be installed in a 98 model.

No way you gonna be able to fit them to a fuel injected model, so no later than 2006.
They probably took advantage of the major crankcase changes when Sporties when to rubbermounted engines to make provision for case mounted crank angle sensors, so I suspect but don't know for sure only up to 2003.
Have you had a look to see if this is mentioned in the Sportsterpedia?

Thanks for that Steve. Yes, I also have a 2004 and there is no way that any points are going in there without some serious re-engineering:

. . . continuing: as for the 1995 it looks like that is possible. I will have to look up the parts sites and see what fits.

    Cheers, Will

    Dunno, a 3" holesaw? :-)
The Sportsterpedia confirmed that it is up to 03.
Make sure you get a quality centrifugal advance. I got a Vulcan Engineering one which they said was a "lifetime" unit, but apparently they don't make them now.
How long did you have the 350 Trump for?

After Fridays fun, I retarded the ignition by about 5°, lubed the chain after the 70 km in pissing down rain, and blew compressed air up through the reserve position on the Golan fuel tap, flowing again now, and put the battery back on its charger.

About a year, Steve, but being a young fella and apprentice mechanic I wanted to go faster so I swapped it for a (non running) 5TA and learnt a lot about rebuilding a Triumph.
Wish now that I had kept both of them, but you don't think when you are young . . .

    Cheers, Will

This leak has been pissing me off for too long !
I put it off as it's a time consuming job.
Went for a nice ride before putting it on the stand to cool down.
A lot of worse ways to spend a day off !

OK i will bite.  What was actually leaking?  From the pics it look's like Redline oil was leaking from the tranny seal ?
I am still traumatised from my three primary case leaks. The first one was a legitimate leak from the case because  some of the bolts came loose.  The next two leaks came from the drain plug but its a long fuckin story.

    You got it .
One good thing about Redline shockproof, you can't mistake what is leaking .
Not sure if it the quad ring seal or the main shaft seal, but will change both.
    I expected shifter shaft seal.
    Too many seals !!

After 5 years of putting up with the squealing clutch on the sporty I finally swapped it out for a Barnett extra plate kit....  nice piece of gear too!  Had to fab a spring compressor thingy to release the clutch pack, but that was easy with some old plumbers pipe.

sounds most odd taking off at the lights and not hearing the squeal....lol

Rode down to Beechworth via the Hume to see a mate who isn’t in a good place at the moment.
Took my M8 Heritage instead of my old EG. Wasn’t as comfortable but pretty good nonetheless.
    620 odd kms each way.

I spent 2 hrs cleaning the front spoked rim on my sporty. Can’t complain, it’s been 36,000 kms since it’s been done.
    It’s good to be retired.

If it's anything like my front wheel you'll only have to clean half of it.
    The rest is rust.

Hit it with a brass wire brush, that does a pretty good job on rusty rims. Then lanolin spray or wipe over.
