Milk and mail run. Post agency didn't have any stamps though, not until Friday, and because I wanted to post a birthday card to my daughter in Melbourne, and because it was a nice sunny day and because I could, I detoured 22 km to Blackbutt.
The helmet spells it out perfectly.
Every time I look at the back of the bike I get a smile at how good I reckon the tail light looks. So thank you again Streetbob10, I hope you're as happy with your new taillight set up as I am with mine.

Hey Steve been awhile mate. Glad your happy because I’m happy it went to good use, I could help you and you love it. Yes I’m finally happy with my setup, I’m just running 3-1 signals so no tail light and clean fender. Take care mate 👍

Thanks evo94. It's coming close to matching the pic in my head.
Should rebuild the motor though, its done 170,000 kms since it's rebuild at 220,000. Good compression still, minimal oil consumption, but piston slap, noisy cam chest and slight bottom end rumble.

We're all different eh? I went the other way, a tail light that stands out, no signals.
I'll have to laugh if it starts cracking the guard.

Ohh don’t talk about cracking guards, it done my head in. It was just 2009-2011 street bob guard until harley had enough warranty claims then welded a brace for 2012 model. I’m pretty sure your sporty being older would have better quality metal then this new age cheap stuff. All the best mate

My 96 sporty rear guard cracked, bastard.

My standard front guard did, my frame has, twice, at the rear mudguard support behind the right top shock mount, my swingarm has, above the axle adjustment slot, my oil tank has twice, until I found a rubber motor mount from a washing machine that fitted under the battery tray, but the rear guard? Never.
It has an extra layer welded to it under the old standard tail light. Part of that came off when I bobbed the guard, but it still supports all 3 mounting bolts for the Streetbob light.

Yeah I just brought a complete set of 3/8 drive torx head and imperial hex head sockets from Supercheap which aren't that expensive

So , I had made a 19 hex out of a bolt n a couple of nuts , the torx … well I had but one was so tight and the torx was made of cheese so I boogered that .

Today , my lovely wife went to total tools for me and picked up a fancy new t40 torx and a lovely sidchrome ( apparently ok for impact use ) 19mm hex .

As the fasteners will need to be torqued . Although I am old and weak so this may be a challenge haha

Will update , after a lie down and new hoops tomorrow

I bet, I love the look of them, the cylinders are right in the way of me legs an feet, old injuries prevent that set up unfortunately.

I had Thrashing supplies bars, 9.5" pull-back risers, low bend bars and speedo set-up fitted today, really like the position of them
