So going to buy a Yam T Max when you get back?
660 cc, way more room, brilliant road manners and comfort.
I have thought of one for the last step in my line of retreat from 2 wheels.

Lol would be fibbing if I said it hasn't crossed my mind.... but maybe still a while off, who knows. This trip has brought me right back to the basic enjoyment of a light, low, underpowered no frills bike. My G's has way more ability than I can muster and you look at that big slippery Rocky uphill planning your escape route before you take off, a light bike you just nail it and see how it works out and if it doesn't your not going to need a crane to lift the fucker up.

I thought they banned us from riding over there? Shame there was no hole in the fence .....

No holes in this fence..every gate has a security guard 24 hrs a day. We are staying at Pullman mandalika and I couldn't sleep the other night and walked over to the circuit to see if anyone manned the gate, sure enough security was there and he told me they have gate and perimeter security 24 hrs. A small inducement was discussed to allow me to get in but was rejected.

Had to climb a fucking big hill in 33 degree heat to get a glimpse of the track.... can't say I am not a keen Moto Gp fan .. LoL

I must be bipolar, 10 days ago I looked at the very old Commander II with 1mm tread left on the back and thought Nah. Today, it was Still a few miles left in that.
Only burned a tank full on back roads, taking it easy as the baldy skittered over the gravel. The new 21 Avon Trek Rider would have been better on the gravel if I'd dropped the pressure down to 28 psi.
The bridge pic is over Maronghi Creek, looking the other way is the old bridge that washed away in 2011 floods.
It was nice to be riding a small, light and nimble bike. Maybe this meets the spec for a light, low, no frills bike.

It's pretty basic all right. Part of its charm though. Gonna have to do something about the seat eventually.

Cheeky bugger. I've gone through 3 rolls already.
Think I'll buy one of those cheap sprung saddles, put a Biltwell seat hinge for a Triumph that has 1 vertical fixing bolt, mount that bolt through the front lug on the frame that secures the stock seat, weld some bungs to the frame rails for the spring months and try that for a while. If it works OK, eventually fab a better cushion and recover in leather. I think those ones that just have a bolt on frame covering plate that the seat mounts on show a lack of commitment. A sprung saddle would give better comfort. The stock shocks off an Evo Dyna that I've been running, with Ikon springs for a Sporty work surprisingly well, but have pretty short travel. Look good though.

The cover option is for the folk who wanna change seats for the missus etc and don't look real old school, they have their place but in your case yeah, that would look the shit and be comfortable enough for a tank full on the sporty 👍

Never have ridden in shorts in the last 52 years, or thongs, but it was a bee that convinced met to take up eye protection. Copped one in the left eye riding home from work in Brisbane about 1975. Must have ridden straight up behind it at 60 kph, it left its stinger stuck in the eyeball and it's guts splattered around it. I had to stop, get out the pointy nosed pliers from the toolkit and pull out the sting while looking in the rear view mirror, holding the eyelid open with my other hand as my face swelled and tried to push my eyes closed. Didn't hurt at first, no pain receptors in the eye, but felt sick as shit and had to sit down on the footpath for an hour and wait until the swelling went down far enough for me to see out of my eyes well enough to keep riding home.
