Nice bits there! Comp and springs are good upgrades, with the springs being very cheap.

yeah the price of the springs were some what reasonably priced $50 or so compared to most HD stuff, the comp ramp $850(not HD) but is a bit of piece of mind thing lol

I've been working on this wheel swap, definitely not bolt on but think I've found the solution to factor in ABS sensor.

    wheel looks awesome toođź‘Ś

    Looking good Benno.
Are they PM callipers up front?
Apologies for completely missing your PM a couple of months ago when you were in town, you would have been welcome.

They are PM calipers FC, I am sure you know how useless the old rattlers are. No problems with missing my message, I should have dropped you a text. I am hoping to have the shovel ready for the road soon, it’s taken me longer than I expected.

What’s your thoughts on the lift?
I have one the same but am yet to use it.
I’m wondering if I will be able to get a rear wheel out of my flh’s with that trapdoor setup or have to modify it as in cut out the rear section.
    Bike looks niceđź‘Ť

    G'day Neale,
I have had the hoist for a couple of years now, it hasn't given me any issues at all, jeez it's good not to have to get down on the floor to work on the bike. Like Steamer mentioned, I have a small scissor lift I use on the hoist to jack up the front or rear depending on what I'm doing. I can lift the rear with the scissor lift, remove the panel under the back wheel and this gives me enough room to get the back wheel off on all my bikes. But none of my bikes have a dresser style rear fender like an FLH, let me / us know how it goes.
    Benno.

It's how the shops lift to get rear wheel off.

Crossed the major hurdle of the wheel swap last night, sorting bearing spacing and clearances while keeping ABS intact. Had to crack out the welder, haven't done AC Tig in q couple of years, but it got the job done. Will make the wheel spacers shortly and front end end is done, hopefully rear end is more straight forward.

Also been distracted by a new bike pickup.
