Caddy would be tricky for sure, I'm not as ancient as you blue but I can't say I've seen a caddy tail with a blue dot......you might be in danger of trendsetting if you go down that road haha

Got back from hols and got stuck into the bar swap on the Low Rider ST. Pretty straight forward, bit tight on RHS/TBW internal bar wiring, but other then that, nil issues. Phone mount left to install then put it all back together.

Look's good John, I actually sat on a LRS at the dealers with 9.5" risers (thrashing supplies) and it felt close to perfect to me but very pricey with the speedo bracket and wire and cable extensions, while I was there I ordered for my forward controls a black shift rod(part number 33600318) lever and black shift rod(33600259) why this doesn't come with the original kit I don't know, the third pic is how the f/controls come

Yeah its not a cheap endeavour, risers, bars, grips, throttle tube, cable extensions, clutch extension, upper brake cable.

These are 8.5in riser with a bout a 3.75in bar height.

I'll post a photo of the trick phone mount when fitted that clamps to the risers and can put phone above or below dash.

Billet comp and upgraded springs going in.

nice one John, I went into my dealer/tuner the other day and inquired about the compensator upgrade and they reckon it is not required as the screaming eagle 131 come with the same one as in all the M8's and they have only seen two compensators fail mainly from doing burnouts etc, I'm a little unsure now I might just fit the heaver springs and try my luck, I was recommended to use Belray primary and clutch for the primary oil

Theyre blowing up stock under all kinds of different circumstances, seems to be a literal luck of the draw as to whether you get a normal one or a brittle one. Searching it in any Facebook group will bring up all the stories from people thrashing it, to the  blowing up sitting on cruise control on the highway or just idling at a petrol station. To me, it honestly seems like the metal is too hard and brittle.

Some people say "oh harley will cover it under warranty" but the potential damage from your comp breaking is full on. If your lucky it'll stay somewhat together. If your unlucky it'll wedge under the crank and crack your inner primary. The force going through the end of your crank in those scenarios blows out your runout.

All good that harley replace your comp and primary if needed, but I'll guarantee they're not checking runout on the crank voluntarily.

Ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure as they say, yep they would patch what they had to and hope it gets past warranty, vibration and runout would be covered under " they all do that and it's within spec"

Compensator nearly $1000nz just for the part, I did 30 000k's on my previous stage2 LRS without a problem, I know my new bike has more power, I rang 3 dealers in NZ they all said it's not necessary?

    Two points:
    1. Harley don't sell an upgraded part, so nothing in it for them to admit it's an issue and  recommend a fix.

    2. Every single time I've mentioned known issues to dealerships in conversation, they either pretend like they've NEVER heard of it happening, or that it is something exceedingly rare and the fault of the user.

You'll likely be fine, I purely changed it for peice of mind, exactly the same as the cast manifold to replace the plastic one. I had just read story after story on fb of people who's had blown up and the circumstances, so it was tweaking my mindπŸ˜‚. I know it's statistically small though, dozens of stories vs how many bikes sold?

    Mine was 650ish? Aud.
