BB, I dunno, but maybe have a chat with a glazier and see if there is such a thing as a film that you could stick to the glass so it takes away the glare and makes it easier to see ??

If its the reflected glare coming off the glass that's the problem, you could try a quick wash of the glass to remove any grease or oily film, then a light overspray of Matte clear coat, the stuff you use to turn glass black paint into the black denim look.

Is it a glass face or polycarbonate?

Just ride the damn thing!  Once you get miles under your belt you can tell what speed your doing by the engine note.  It works very well on my sporty.

Took my new home made leather saddle bags for a 200klm test ride.
They fit both my old Honda 750 fours and my 1984 Wide Glide shovel.
They are not the most voluminous bags in the world so I made them so I can strap my bulky Belstaff waterproof britches and wet weather top over the seat leaving the bags free for all the other shit one may need on a trip.
They survived the first trip no problems, hopefully there will be many more.

I am gunna be brutally honest here FC.
I have saw ugly saddlebags in my day and theyre  right up there with the best of them.
I got home too late this afternoon and didnt have time to do the wd40 thing.

The FXRP ones would be in the running for ugly!  (And useless if you have a pillion as they cannot readily use the rear footpegs...)

I couldn't find the WD40 bloo so I tried it with inox.
    Didn't work.
I grabbed the kitchen scrubbing pad with washing up liquid and it came up a treat.
Might need to work on my photography skills but.

Met my mate and did a 200klm round trip Montville , Kenilworth etc then home. Scrubbed new tyres and bedded new rear pads ready now for a Thursday 3 day run. Hopefully the weather holds or could be a miserable couple of muddy days.

All packed and fuelled up ready for a 0700 start....wet weathers all the way it seems. Still better than sitting on the couch all day.
