What did you guys do on your bikes today?

The ultra was starting to run rough the last few days. Narrowed it down to intake seals needed to be replaced so ordered a set and because the flanges were not expensive, ordered those as well. Well pulled the intake this morning and got a not so nice surprise. Glad I decided to replace flanges also.

Yep. They are alloy. At $15.00 in total for two flanges it would be a good idea to replace also if the seals needed to be replaced again in the future just for piece of mind.

Went out thru Buckby Road to Imbal then Kandanga Creek rd, Amamoor Creek , Pie Creek , Kin Kin , Ringtail Creek then home. Oil and filter change , service and faults reminders etc reset and two new tires. Getting ready for the next gig starting on 9th March.

The glass on the speedo on my bike is getting a bit fucked up. I have rubbed it with my sleeve a few times but its still hard to see when the sun shines on it. Pretty sure its not the original glass cos the bike was imported and the speedo was changed.
Is there anything you can use to clear the glass?

Oddly enough, saliva is as good as anything. Not talking about hoicking up great green goolies onto it, just the clear stuff. The enzymes in the saliva start to digest oils and fats on the glass surface. Works well for rear view mirrors too. Learned this when a photocopier tech for Canon in the late 70's. Not regarded as a good look in public these days, but fuckem.

i had a doggie over my Sporty 883 Twinsport racer before her first race at Phillip Island ,i left the stain on the front mudguard ,when i got back my machinist scratched his finger in the dried spoof and ask if this is seagull shit from Phillip is `,i didnt have the heart to tell him at the time as he was a fair bit older than me ,but he was a Harley rider himself and thought he maybe would understand ,butt i just couldn't cum out with it ,true story , and the bike ran fine no worries ,cheers
