The Senator who wanted to contest the claim wasn't even made aware that the mediation talks were resolved even though she was told she would be part of the process. Lets see if this new National Anti-Corruption Commission can solve this debacle.

So now the circus continues.....Linda Reynolds has sent a letter, via her lawyers, to Tanya Plibersek over TV comments accusing her of defaming her in an interview on Sunrise when she suggested Brittany Higgins’ employers may have “covered up” her rape allegation.

And now we have Lydia Thorpe claiming she was sexually assaulted in Parliament...

I am not surprised Lydia Thorpe has been subject to this abhorrent behaviour.

And then a few hrs later she decided to withdraw her comments.

Whatever credibility she had left would have to considered extinct now.

She never had any credibility to start with.

What a ongoing circus Parliament really is. David Van resigns from the Liberals after three woman make allegations against him including Lydia Thorpe. Thorpe claimed that during the Morrison era David Van would walk behind her and make her feel uncomfortable. As a result David Van agreed to move his office further away from hers and agree to not get to close to her. Now he has decided to remain as a independent and will be sitting a shit load closer to her on the crossbench. All this on $422,500 plus super , plus perks combined. AND theres no requirement to even attend Parliment!!!!! Tax money well spent for those pair.....ummm 

Exposing this arsehole is the only useful thing she has done in her time in the Senate. Fortunate that others came forward as well or no one would have believed her.

I feel kinda bad that I assumed it was bullshit when she withdrew her comment, hate jumping to conclusions but fuck she is hard to like, does herself and her causes no favours with the crap she pulls.

She certainly gets my vote for the crazy senator award and has been shown to overdramatize things in the past leaving her, in my view , with little credibility. I would not be shocked at all if David Van doesn't pursue legal action either.
