Jay Dee i have watched some of it live. Agree both of them have been less than truthful but her statements and interview with police have been pulled to bits. Claims she made that Lehrmann removed her underwear, she's now reluctantly admitted she lied as she didn't wear any that night.
Claims to Police that she was going to the Dr after the alleged rape, now admitted they never happened or had any intention to go.
Changed her story regarding her dress on the night, only after the security officer contradicted her version of her events.
Claimed that the bruise on her leg/thigh was as a result of Lehrmann forcing himself on her, now believes it is after falling several times while drunk at both venues.
I have a feeling that he might just win this one.

He is not likely to win this one.
I have a brain freeze occasionally when I have a very cold drink or icecream, but it seems Bruce Lehrmann has one whenever he goes near the witness box; It is not surprising he didn't take the stand before.
Most of Higgins' slipups were revealed before, now we see a heap from Lehrmann.
She was obviously more pissed than he was on the night and her recall would understandably suffer.

My "I suspect that something likely happened" comment is not something that I would be prosecuting and/or exonerating either of them on. It's more an observation based on what (I'm sure little of the whole thing) I have been exposed to in the media, maybe a bad choice of words.

Its interesting that the Judge in his matter has singled out a youtube channel as well as made mention of various social media platforms for their negative comments. The youtube channel has been threatened with contempt of court charges should they not comply with his orders and the social media platforms have been given the ultimatum that if the abuse towards prosecutors /defence does not cease then the live feed of proceedings will be withdrawn.

The second trial could not go ahead for rape due to fears her mental state would suffer but they have no qualms dragging it all up and putting her through it all again here.....the law is an arse.

I mentioned this pages ago that she had reportedly volunteered to be a witness in this case if/when it goes ahead. I guess that makes her fair game and I would think questions the validity of kyboshing a second rape trial in order to protect her mental health.

This is basically going to be a pseudo criminal trial in the form of a defamation suit. Look at what happened with the Ben Roberts Smith defamation suit outcome, it got pretty ugly. At least Bruce Lehrmann got grilled this time though, some believe he dodged that during the criminal trial.

In the rape trial, the expectation would have been that the accused was on trial, but in reality it was the accuser who was on trial and subjected to intensive cross examination. Not so this time around, the microscope is on Lehrmann.
I'm not surprised that Higgins was keen to appear here. From her point of view, the arsehole escaped conviction, ok, might have to live with that, but to profit from it as well, No. Not on.
She is going to come back for a crack. Her mental health would have been at risk if she had not.

She certainly got put through the spin cycle yesterday on the stand and the inconsistency's between what she said in sworn statements to police, then to media and finally yesterday had "evolved" to fit the story as more evidence came to light according to Lehrmann KC.  At one point she even agreed that she had lied knowingly on the Project interview as she says she thought that's what people wanted to hear. Her sworn testimony on crucial points have proven to be sheer fabrication or at best assumptions that have been proven false. Lets see what todays evidence brings...

I heard Morrison had to reduce the solar feed-in tariff to solar owners to cover it.

He did get a good rental deal though.....LOL
Seems like ABC has again stumped up more tax payer money and then attempted to suppress the details.
"In documents released by the Federal Court on Wednesday night, it was revealed the ABC has agreed to pay $150,000 in a settlement sum, including $143,000 as contribution towards Mr Lehrmann’s costs of the proceedings and $7,000 for solicitors acting for Laura Tingle.
The payment was to be made within 14 days of settlement."
