Has anyone painted their alloy 7-9 spoke rims?  The look of the unfinished rough cast is giving me the chits so needs to go!

I just powdercoat them, they come out mint.

I thinking a little more adventurious.  I have a few Kandie colours here from the kit I bought so am pondering things like a mild very small flake, some dark ale brown with maybe a light black Kandie to tone it all down.  Or maybe Sunrise Yellow instead of the dark ale...

The idea is that is sort of compliments the tins...

Hey that looks kool. I'd go with the first suggestionya had. Ale brown an sheen of black kandie. On the inner sensitive side, agree the rims do detract from the big picture. Is looking good man.

So do you mean painting just the rough cast sections and leaving the machined/polished edges and outer rim as is, or painting the whole wheel?

Have you considered getting the rough cast sections polished?
