Looking for any info about a bolt in cam for my 09 FXST softail. Not looking to do any major engine work, just to give it a bit of a kick in the pants type. I have V&H 2 into 2 exhausts and SE big sucka and V&H fuelpak fitted. Any ideas ? A bit confused with all the info online about them and what to fit that would suit me.

Low to mid range, I’m not flat out on the throttle all the time, speed limit + 10 - 15k , more for overtaking

There are are few options and many more opinions but m2c, Andrews 48 and tune, you will be happy, tune is what pulls it all together, all your add ons dialled in, matters heaps.

Thanks. I was looking at the Andrews 48 and SE 204’s, tossing between the 2 but you made up my mind after reading about both of them. 👍

Dazza if you had a 103 instead of a 96 I would say the 204 or a cycle-rama alternative which shines as well, I'm no no expert, just seen a few things that work.

I read somewhere on another forum a bloke installed a set of SE 204’s in a 08 night train and he was happy with them, I’ve been doing a lot of reading about them but the more you read the more confusing it gets I think it comes down to what you prefer and what suits your bike

204 will give you noticible gains in a a 96 but further up the rev range, 48 will deliver where you said you wanted it, entirely up to you, both are better than the stock cam just about everywhere.

Gday Dazza, I put the Andrews 48’s in my stock 96cube last year. Very happy with the outcome, at the same time i added a Bassani 2-1 & an S&S intake, Had Red Fred do the install and Dyno. Went 90hp & 105tq, I fucken luv it. If i had one gripe, it would be, they run out of puff around 3800, but your up around $1.60 plus by then anyway. The torque is the juice but. You wont be disappointed.

Dazza, have 204' in heavy tourer (always carry too much shit-just incase) and still pulls like a 15 year old school boy. Though is a 103 driving things with Lushy tune. As GM said, probably go 48 A if had the 96, with a good tune, by someone who knows their shit.Good fun to first jump on and blow those cockles away.
