The irony.. got to sit on one finally.

    In Thailand hahaha

So did you take it for a test ride through all those uninhabited motorcycle heavenly roads in Thailand?

No, was in a shopping centre where I was attending the Bangkok Motorcycle Festival, they tell me it’s pretty much the only one.

They also cost 50% more in Thailand to here, which considering most of the current Harley lineup is made there seems very odd to me.

well i took the new Lowrider S (no not a ST)for a test ride and was quite impressed with the stock power delivery after the sale's man had just told me my stage 2  2020 FXLRS will still pull better than the stock 117, I got a reasonable trade in deal also with the dealer swapping most of my upgrades over, the only problem is I can't get a black one until at least October? but a grey one is only a couple of weeks away, I'm not sure of that Battle-ship grey colour but it is growing on me, I have done 26000k's on my lowrider S since new, I can see a problem with fitting forward controls as that forward facing aircleaner may get in the way of my right knee

Just repaint the bike to whatever you want....its not rocket science.

The 117, while only having a marginal bump in capacity, comes with a much better cam out the box. Seems to be common feedback on the 117s, surprising people with how much go/torque it has over 114s.

I'm still going to put a cam and dyno the 117 also once it arrives, I'm thinking of a S&S 475 cam this time though

What's the difference between them 2 cams John? I haven't stayed up to speed on M8 cams for a couple of years.

I asked APE exactly this question.

480 comes on a touch earlier.

483 has stronger mid and carries HP further.

Here's a dyno chart of a 117 with couple of mods. Bloody impressive.

I’ll just say.. some of you may actually want see one of these in the flesh before signing on the dotted line.

I went from selling both of my bikes to get this as a forever bike to I’m not sure they’re really worth the $35k and am feeling pretty close to cancelling my order to get something else after planting ass on one.

so what was it that you didn't like about the FXLRST? I personally don't like the bags for both the way they open (i would prefer the top to open like the street/roadglide) and how the bags are different sizes, I like the fairing though

Plastic plastic plastic and more plastic.
Really took me by surprise, just thought the build quality wasn’t in line with a $35k bike

the only plastic that I don't like is the plastic inlet manifold, I think when I do the cam I will replace it and maybe some larger injectors also, i found this vid interesting- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWyL6GUYAeU

These M8's respond so well to a cam change, that's impressive gains.
