50,000 Truck protest convoy headed to Ottawa

    Today 27 / 1 / 2022   
    Truck Convoy coast to coast, 50,000 trucks on the move, 11 Convoys across the nation. People supporting truckers all along roads in every town and city, standing in the freezing cold. Even US truckers coming to stand with Canadians against tyranny. 4.5 million in donations and counting.

     Australian coverage fuck all, have been watching for this on the TV radio  and it seem as if it dose no exist

    Not a dig at you in anyway BD as that’s an interesting news story I hadn’t seen before…..

    I don’t know much about Canada but would expect the (silent) majority of our transport industry would be vaccinated anyway and not necessarily due to employer’s mandates but personal + family safety and common sense

    Yeah I saw that go fund me page but it’s hardly a majority. 400 odd ding bats, many of whom are the same (minority of) idiots protesting at parliament houses across Australia, damaging property, assaulting people, causing disturbances, breaching the peace, disrupting commerce, economies and cities, using up govt resources in security and law enforcement, at times spreading the virus. 

    I bet most of these same people are protesting everything (rent a crowd).  If it’s not trucker’s rights today it’ll be gay rights tomorrow, aboriginal rights the day after and the me too movement the day after that. And let’s not forget they also protest against African Americans being shot by police in another country on the other side of the planet. Many of these oxygen thieves don’t even have jobs, pay taxes or contribute to society. 

    Being a fuckwit rarely if ever positive influences the policies of government and big business. Arguably the most militant union in Australia has even seen the common sense in vaccination. The economic cost of a society with many people sick would compromise the unions’ interests in keeping their members’ industries and employment alive

    Australia has given 35k and counting to the 'ding bats' over the last few days 
    Talk is 40,000 trucks so far on their way. Word is people ( Vaxed Australians )  are standing on the sides of the roads cheering them on. 
    Its more than covid its about the way the Australian government has behaved towards us.

    I share the outrage of how our governments have treated us. I really hate my government for getting vaccinations for me and my loved ones quickly yet giving me freedom of choice about having it. And for having hospitals and health care available to me if I get crook. For putting some controls in place so our hospitals and healthcare systems aren’t overloaded. For paying monies out to people to help them and their businesses survive during the pandemic, for paying the dole to people who don’t work, for giving housing and concessions on various bills to those who don’t work or don’t earn much. For giving business owners the freedom to choose how they operate their own businesses safely to avoid going under. 

    Im annoyed our governments aren’t using crystal balls to better predict the outcomes of their decisions in these unprecedented times. None of the decisions are easy, most have counter consequences and all have costs. 

    There’s lots of giving and positives but it’s impossible to please and appease everybody. And all this giving costs a shit load of money that tax payer revenue doesn’t meet which is why we’re in debt 

    Enough typing from me. I’ve got the day off work and gonna go out and get my camping chair and umbrella so i don’t have to stand in the rain to wave the 40,000 trucks coming my way

    Our government saved many, many lives. 
    Australia is amongst countries with the lowest Coved death-rates. Taking into account per capita figures, the UK has 24 times the Covid death rate, the US has 30 times the death rate of Australia.
    I find the Covid-deniers, anti-vaxers & anti-lockdown mob incredibly naive, ungrateful simpletons.
    Basically they are just scared little petals, they can't comprehend or control the situation they find themselves in, so they simply rebel - like spoilt brats.

    I don't share many opinions with the covid deniers, anti-vaxers & anti-lockdown mob.
    I do understand their wish to have the right to choose.
    But I take my hat off to them because they put their case without name-calling or denigrating those in the opposite camp.
