I'm not suprised of the criticism of that video...

I wonder what lifters have come out of my stock TC88... as it definitely does not have a .100 opening at the top of the lifter like the "B" lifter image that's been disassembled.

Maybe it was destined to blow up anyway, but I guess time will tell.

I might even get motivated to disassemble and compare the TC88 lifters Ive got compared to the GM Performance ones.

I am running the 2313SE's the same as Hilly.
I knew CompCams made lifters for Evos because I looked at them years ago. The Comp 850 seems to have a good rep and I assumed it was designed specifically for twin cams but it is not. It is advertised as a High Energy Lifter for Chevy and Harley.
I might be inclined to try that one because CompCams obviously know what is required for a Harley top end.

Curiosity got the better of me.

I would guess that is the harley lifter on the left because of the number of holes in the piddle plate to allow through-flow but then the other one looks like it could be slightly smaller diameter to allow flow around the circumference.
Can't really clearly make out the size of the hole in the push rod cup on the left but it looks about the same.
Curious about spring quality as well.
The one on the left also looks like it has done a bit of work and I suppose you are more likely to have a used harley lifter laying about.

Yep, multi hole oil metering plate is HD, solid plate (which actually freaked me out till I did more research) is the GM.

All hole dimensions (cup, inner and outer body) all the same.

The HD lifter is basically brand new, basically taken out of a brand new motor (pics of pistons with no wear on skirt and tensioners you can't even catch a finger nail on, are in my FXR v2 thread)

Seems like a much tighter and nicer tolerance on the GM.

Roller and axle wise I can't really comment.

I think I may even have some used Fueling lifters somewhere.

Hi GM. If you could screen dump the front title or page, i might be able to find it on YT and link it, otherwise, if it's your own video, YOU will need to upload it to YT. There is a limit on size files which can be uploaded to this site, alternatively, do you have "cloud" storage or a "drop box" you could put the file and link to it. Regards S

The lawn dried out enough to get the bike out of the shed today, engine is back to normal twin cam noises, however one pushrod is rubbing, can push on the cover lightly and stop it but can't do that riding down the road, pushrods checked out ok on the bench so thinking they must be flexing a bit, they are the SE tapered adjustable ones, I've not had issues with them in the past but the 263 cams are a bit higher lift than any cams I've used previously, apparently Smith brothers make a super rigid adjustable pushrod, anyone have any experience there?
    Cheers.

I seriously doubt it will be pushrod flex mate, they are ( SE rods) hell strong. Sometimes I have had to relieve the lip at the top of the pushrod tube a little so they do not hit. Be good if Harley dowelled the rocker sleds onto the head, as well really, they can be shifted about a bit when assembling.
