I have 2010 Dyna wide glide fitted new battery but have to use jump pack to start. Once warmed up it starts with just battery. Removed starter and had it checked . Checked all terminals and connections . Any ideas

check new battery as you can get a new dud one from time to time and make sure it is the correct 1 for you bike, does the starter strain to turn the engine over? check sparkplugs and maybe check compression also, sorry just a couple of stabs in the dark really

Fwiw. Going through starter clutch issues on 03 deuce. Initially felt like battery not strong enough to kick it over. (Bought a new one) Intermittent normal starting, then starter sounding like spooling up before grabbing with some backfiring. All symptoms of bad starter clutch.
    Nothing lasts!

    Need a bit more info.
Does it turn over OK but fail to fire ?
Does it struggle to turn over or kick back ?
Have you measured the voltage across the battery when trying to start ?
Is it fitted with Automatic Compression Release (ACR) ?
