    Bert Newton a Ozzi Tv icon died today...he was 83.

    R.I.P Bert.  He was a fixture on TV for decades.  The Don Lane Show remember that.  Times have changed.

    Like many, who grew up in the 70's new of Bert on the Don Lane show, Don was a complete tosser, but Bert seemed ok. Go forward like 30 plus years and i'm running a job on top of channel 10, Melb. Got in the lift, me and Bert. Me -'morning Bert', in return got a nice 'good morning mate, how are you?'. cool. That was nice.
    RIP Bert.
