After taking the lower leg shields and fairing off, plus ditching el cheapo air horn , which works a treat, am thinking I might just lighten up, and convert to a fairing less "Harley Road Toad".
Over the fairing, after a dozen years, can always whack it back on.
Wat Do ya reackon, see any probs with this? Only time I use the radio/CD  is to listen to the footy or cricket, and I don't smoke.

Don’t “over react” young b. Just put it all back together once you’ve got that oil pressure issue sorted. Bike is beautiful as is.
Bolts and fittings have a habit of going missing over time.

I always hated the batwing til I got my ultra.
I don't think the fairing takes anything away from the riding experience, except you can't look down at your front tyre.

Do what makes you happy and ride the piss out of it.

Been riding for over 40 yrs, never without a bike of some description and I have to say that my flht is the most comfortable long distance road bike I’ve ever owned.👍

    all right.
Yah correct, she is a Road Glide, and should stay that way, and this baby should not come outta the closet.
Before I wacked her back together checked eveything that needed checking, ie. blinkers/lights/all lectrical connections under the fairing , bloody beautiful, no dramas.
Completed, and guess what, front friggin blinker not operating, .ok. I love doing practise runs, so did the remove, rectify reinstall thing and all good. I know why I'm not with the program I need to go for a good ride. hanging for a ride.
I came off bike and kinda hit a tree a couple of months ago. Thats what it is need a ride... restless restless.
Been riding on the road for 50 years too, always had a bike, owned a close 80- 90 , motorcycles, (the old 'wished had some of them now' thoughts , aye)
Ditching the walking stick and swap it for The Road Glide, err soon as Mrs. B goes away for while..
