    Bought the Supercheap motorcycle chock
Didn't want to tech screw into floor as fuel tank underneath so have jury rigged a connection for the time being.
Taking dogs and Missus to Goolwa (near the Murray mouth) for a week holiday. Test fitted the bike tonight (3 inches to spare) and it looks like we're good to go with that too.

    Steelo.

Going to stay in your three storey beach front mansion is not really bugging out!

Let me know if you need a hand mounting the chock in the van. We can run it up on one of the hoists at work.

Coming down to Goolwa next Sunday for a drive along the beach to the river mouth. Let me know if you will still be down there I'll swing by and pick you up.

Was visited today by wade, his wife and a couple of his off-roading buddies at goolwa in their shiny new ford Everest and Nissan patrol. We took a drive along the beach under blue skies but howling winds to the Murray mouth. It was sensational. Boy, is that little 4w4 capable!!
At the mouth, while watching the dredges trying to keep the channel open, and sand from blowing into the cars, wade produced drinks and sticky buns for the party. As his wife is kiwi, I was able to tell her it was one of the besterest days I’ve had.
She had also never heard about the piecost fighting with a possum almost to the death in my roof space, so that surprised her as well. A great day. Thanks wade.

Don't spose the bakery does the out the front stand,  leave what money you can afford for the take what you want? Beautiful part of coastal SA , cockles and all.

yep had the Pardo down to the axels, then taken the air out the tires and enjoyed the rest of the way to the mouth, lived in Goolwa for 5 years.
Lovely part of S.A, I have always admired the way trees are on an angle from growing in the wind.

Friends, It's been a little while since I reported on the BOV.
Have had it at a local fab / welder fellow in Goolwa for a couple weeks who took to the project with enthusiasm
He's built a 2 section fold up / removable QS metal bed in the back.
Allows 2 (or more) to sleep when fully deployed or a single when bike is loaded.
Bike chock is adjustable / removable. The ramp can be held in place securely now.

    Good stuff bloke.
Be a good travelling rig, like the ramp arrangement, very handy.
But the bed looks like a jail type bed, from what I've seen in movies. Guess it does the job well and supports correctly. Where are you and Mrs.S going on ya shakedown cruise?
