    Hi all
I live in beautiful Hervey bay and enjoy my bikes as often as I can with work and family as well as other vices like spearing, busting clays and fishing.

This is however my first Harley and its well over due.

I looked and waited for the right evo to come up with genuine low mileage (10500) and the right price and my 87 heritage is now in my stable after its long journey from milwaukee all safe and sound thanks to A to Z imports

There are a couple of small thing that need to be done and any advise will be helpfull as i am defiantly only a novice when it comes to Harleys

The first is the indicators do not stay on when you depress the switch on either the L or R they will stay on it you hold it on ? switches im guessing ?

The second is I would like to swap the sealed beam lights for good H4 or even Led but don't want to loose the classic look if anyone can suggest a good Australian retailer that can supply such a beast

Thirdly a long shot but if anyone lives in the area and knows who in the Bay or Maryborough or Bundy ETC would be proficient in servicing tuning evo's with an S&S carb recommendations are most welcome.

and lastly the bike is in great shape and just about factory but I would like a studded 2 up seat set with the sissy bar if anyone has one for sale

Many thanks in advance as I'm sure I will have other issues in the future I'm sure I will need some expert advise with

    Hi Stu
Congrats on your new bike and good on you for choosing an evo.
I wouldn't mind betting that your indicators are supposed to work like that, ie; only working when you hold the button in. That is exactly how the indicators on my shovel work. They were designed like that, I guess to stop you accidentally leaving them on which can be dangerous. It takes a bit of getting used to. If you decide you can't put up with the switches there should be replacements (aftermarket) available that you do not need to hold the button on with.

Welcome Stu. Good opening msg and hope you like the evo.

Re the indicators, like Far Canal says about his shovel head, evos don’t auto cancel, or at least the older ones up until the 1989 model I had didn’t. You get used to it.

    Post a pic?
