Hi all, i have a problem with cruise control dropping out. 2012 road king. i have the switch on then set cruise it will  set and run no probs. hit a bump it then drops out from green back to red. set the cruise again runs ok until rough road or bump. I have cruise switch on {red light} when i hit bumps you can see it flicker. I live in central qld. hence the rough roads.

My 2012 Street Glide has done the same from new, perhaps not as bad as yours but will do it on a decent bump. Little known fact....Hd cruise control wont engage after 100mph or 160kph on twin cams, not sure about newer bikes.

could it be that your front brake switch is being activated by the bump movement of the front brake lever,i'm guessing the cancelling of cruise would be very sensitive to brake light circuit activation.

Lots of bikes and cars’ cruise control modules are designed to cancel upon hitting a reasonable bump. Maybe it’s par for the course?

Or perhaps a Hd at 100mph for lengthy periods of time may detonate....lol
