Did a 300klm run today. Went quiet good with fucking freezing , for QLD ,temp of 13 this morning to 22 at 11am. This booster plug tricks the ecu into thinking the temp is lower than the real temp by around 20 degrees and that in turn makes the ecu ritchen the mixture. Ummm not totally convinced at this stage before i give it a thumbs up.

So today i went to Brisbane and picked my part up from the depot....sick of waiting for lazy cunts at Aust post to pickup and deliver. Cant fault DHL and their customer team..well done!
Anyway have fitted it and done around 100klm with it. Certainly the idle is improved markedly, the part throttle is better but not by a huge amount and the top end about the same. Looking like a power commander for me...

Well finally bit the bullet....power commander delivered so will set it up over the next week or so. Fucking EPA lean tech software!

Good luck with setting it all up - will be interested to know how you go.
Yeah, not just BMW, Harleys made to run lean for EPA Regs (and so run hotter) out of the factory.

Regardless there's always a curve ball somewhere when fiddling with fuel maps. Lets see.

The key to getting a proper tune is the location and fitting of the O2 sensors. Not a priority for pipe manufacturers and most don't bother to check them before tuning. Hilly has posted a few times about this and you will find some good pics if you search. That is how curve balls are eliminated.
