Just bought an old evo roadking, some previous owner decided to take a hole saw to the tank and install (badly) locking filler caps, they leak like a bastard, roundabouts see fuel sloshing out like a drunk holding a pint.

So, anyone got a tank?! Don’t care about colour, but, it is a 96 efi FL

Hi Mow. My 84 FXWG had a leak in one of the tanks (near where it bolts onto the frame) and a cobber up the road from me who is ace at welding filled the tank with water and managed to plug up the leak with weld while the tank was filled with water. I did not see him do it but he fixed the leak.

OR, those POR fuel tank liners are pretty darn good if you are prepared to be really particular about the preparation steps following the instructions. They can fill big holes if you use fabric mixed with the POR stuff.

Failing the above you could try easyr in qld.
Or HD Development in melbourne for repo tanks.

Nah the problem is some fckwit took a hole saw, cut out the filler holes and installed on each side one of those locking caps with 6 bolts, bolted directly into the top of the tank, just doesn’t seal properly at all

Take the six bolts out and make a thicker gasket.
Use an old thong or whatever you have lying around. That will stop it leaking. ( for a few months at least )
