Calvary in the city, nice hotel, bit expensive but the foods nice

That op sounds horrid, hope you’re back on the road soon man.
Good to hear the food has changed, my wife was there soon after it opened the food was crap. Everything was gluten free, salt reduce, fat free, sugar free...taste free. I ended up feeding her from home, the deli or Oportos over the road.
Look after yourself, perfect riding weather is looming.

Sooooo, I got a call yesterday requesting me to come in to the hospital at 13:30 for my booster……went in as requested, got my “booster” (Pfizer) and got told to be back in 21 days for my second Pfizer shot…….so that means that in 21 days I will have had 2 shots of two different vaccines in less than 8 months…..

I don’t know how I feel to be honest, here I am waiting for my 4th shot and many people around the world did not yet have access even to a first shot of anything…..so let’s be clear, I am not boasting, I am only sharing. Strange world.

So, surely you must have queried them & mentioned your vaccination history? Maybe there was a record keeping administration error!

    What was their response?

    Quoting Muzza Wa on 18 Aug 2021 03:14 PMedited: 18 Aug 2021 03:23 PM

My first two shots were on Jan 25 and Feb 15 of Sinopharm.  I have just had my first shot of Pfizer and will have my second shot in a couple of weeks.  The contact tracing app we have here includes your vaccine and PCR test history and is updated every 8 minutes.  There is no mistake, and I am happy to get a second shot of Pfizer if it’s going to help me survive any COVID virus I might catch going forward. The app is the only accepted form of proof you have had a vaccine or PCR test, so they viewed it and confirmed on the computer system. I will try to upload a picture.

Just had my second Pfizer shot, which means I have now had 4 vaccine shots in total.  Was told today that I can expect a third Pfizer shot in the next 9 to 12 months, which will be an updated version specifically modified to meet the new variants………and thereafter every 12 months as a booster……..

I hope you are doing well Soapy & PB.
You might remember me saying that my wife was very sick, long story short…..a hospital here misdiagnosed a hugely painful tummy as food poisoning which was actually a blood clot in her intestines which resulted in many surgeries and intravenous feeding, massive infections, a coma and god knows what else since 27th Feb 2019. Ultimately she has been left with 50 cm of intestine from here tummy to her bum, including colon. Last month she also had to have her gall bladder removed……and it’s been quite a set back. Anyhow, the Drs prescribed this medication which smells and tastes like shit, but has improved her frequency of toilet visits incredibly, she takes it twice a day, with water. It’s called Resincolestiramina (Colestyramine). She also takes a swig of gaviscon before and after meals. Good luck with your recovery, but having her gall bladder removed has meant a fairly drastic change in diet, not sure that you will tolerate barbies etc much going forward, but everyone is different.

G'Day mate. I can absolutely tell you that you are correct if what is happening here is anything to go by. You cannot do almost everything unless you have been x2 vax + 14 days. That includes cross district travel, gyms, restaurants, shopping centres, bike shops/workshops etc (many of who now only accept no contact payment). There will be even more implemented as we progress further. Globally you can forget about travel unless you are vaxxed. Personally I fully support heavy restrictions on the anti vax crowd. Their choice but accept the consequences.
