' Motorcycles are inherently dangerous, most of us who ride them know that and accept the risks'
Good analogy Jay-Dee, very appropriate here.
And isn't it a pain in the arse when the wowsers and do-gooders try to convince you to adopt their thinking.
There is a risk associated with having a jab with a vaccine which has not had sufficient testing. And there is a risk associated with being un-vaccinated.
These risks have different weight for everyone.
I have had two shots of the astrazenica; if I had a choice, I would go for a third with the phizer.
I have made my choices based on my understanding of the facts, and my circumstances, and my values.
Your circumstances and values are different Jay-Dee, I am good with that.

The motorcycle analogy is pretty lame. If you could reduce motorcycle deaths by 90% with a harmless injection would you do it?  Of course you would.

Some riders are more at risk than others, depending on how they ride and where they ride.
Give the 'harmless' injection to those most at risk.
    Very relevant analogy.

    Come on Groovey
“As for the nurse who tells dying covid patients sorry it is too late for the jab, she should lose her job, that is plain nasty, “
Bullshit, a mate who died of lung cancer was told it was his fault.
He agreed and got on with it till the end.
The NDIS told my wife (who has brain cancer, lost 50% of her sight, suffers tremors, seizures, had one stroke, has additional damage from radio therapy and has been on chemo for 32 months) that they would not give her any support and she should just try harder.
Fuck, some wimps like those idiot protesters just can’t handle the truth nor life’s twists and turns.
Some 5 Billion Covid vaccinations have been administeted, the science IS there.

You did not sound like a smart arse Groovey.
Who knows what is really going on here?
If they did things would not be spiraling out of control.
We do not know what is going on in Vietnam but maybe this is all just natures way of fighting back at the biggest invasion of ground lice (people) the world has ever seen.
Fucked if I know, 2 Astra shots, lots of beer, and ride my bike into the abyss seems good here and now.

Groovy this bit I cut from your post I want to address......

Whenever they have a case on site, they have to close the site down and quarantine for 2 weeks. This tells me the vaccine is not as good as they say it is.

We are not at the vaccination level we need to be at to prevent mass hospitalisations if the virus runs free, people who are vaccinated can still get it and spread it, the vaccine will give the vaccinated a better chance of staying out of hospital, that's it, so your mates have to cop the lock downs, as do all of us in the affected areas until enough people get the jab, get the jab! Please.

Groovey, the J&J is a Viral Vector jab, along the same lines as the AstraZenica (AZD1222, Covidshield or Vaxevria). Probably as bad for your condition as the AstraZenica. The one you want to be waiting for is the Novavac, which is a protein based vaccination along the lines of almost every vaccine ever previously developed.
That's the one I am waiting for (for along the same sort of reasons) and the gubbiment has ordered a bunch of it which they say they are going to use primarily as booster jabs. With your condition you could probably get dispensation to have a couple of jabs as your main ones. It has the advantage also of not being as temperature dependent as the others, and can be stored in a normal fridge and not at super cold temps.

    Hope this helps, Will

Fella's, I understand where you are coming from now, I hope you get the opportunity to get the one you want before the virus comes your way.

If what is happening here I can tell you guys what your future will look like, at least for the medium term. As the restrictions are starting to lift here most businesses, a restaurant for example, require proof of 2x vax +14 days (since last jab). Many require a Low Risk reading on your Tracker. Onerous as it may be, it is unfortunately necessary to keep this fucking thing from not only spreading but mutating.
