So just read that ALL front line Qantas staff have to have get the jab its mandatory. Accor implemented this several mths ago for all their quarantine hotels and resorts...no jab , no job!

So now if your coming from NSW into QLD you have to have had the jab. No jab ...no QLD

Welcome to our "new and future normal" and while people just sit back and allow it happen like they are it will continue getting worse.

Remember some of our comments last year about having your rights taken away. Look at where we are now, with nary a complaint (and if you do you're automatically an anti-vaxxer or right wing nutter) and people in many instances even encouraging it. A large meteor can't hit the planet soon enough, we're fucked.

Inevitable. Eventually there will be reciprocal arrangements.

Riding a bike freely around the country will require a vaccination passport.
    Got mine (MyGov website).
Unfortunately the anti-vaxers will become the grim statistics of this pandemic.

You are correct mate. Unfortunately it is those anti vax, anti mask window lickers who drag you down the rabbit hole with them.

You do realise that vaccinated people can still catch, spread and die from the virus and have don't you?

I say just live with it and move on, riding motorbikes is far more risky. From my partners experience most only get a very bad cold, yeah some do develop worse symptoms, but from what she has seen they were going to die from something else in the next little while. Obesity is the biggest issue which then causes other underlying issues.

100% correct vaccination helps but it wont stop you from getting. They will continue the lockdown until the end of the year I believe.

Of course people can still catch, spread and die from it, no one is saying its a silver bullet. Your chances of catching , spreading and been hospitalized are significantly reduced if you're vaxed. Again its not a cure against the virus.

Unsurprisingly you completely missed the context of my post.

Late edit: Sorry, actually you didn't, I'm the one who didn't register your free-dumb shot at me.

Screw those ANZACS and early generations who fought for our freedom and way of life. Who cares what they went through to make life better for themselves and everyone who came after them, let's just hand it all back.

Going for my booster (3rd shot) on 22 Aug

Quoting Muzza Wa on 14 Aug 2021 09:28 AM

Sooooo, I got a call yesterday requesting me to come in to the hospital at 13:30 for my booster……went in as requested, got my “booster” (Pfizer) and got told to be back in 21 days for my second Pfizer shot…….so that means that in 21 days I will have had 2 shots of two different vaccines in less than 8 months…..

I don’t know how I feel to be honest, here I am waiting for my 4th shot and many people around the world did not yet have access even to a first shot of anything…..so let’s be clear, I am not boasting, I am only sharing. Strange world.

    Quoting Wideglider on 14 Aug 2021 09:51 AMedited: 14 Aug 2021 09:54 AM

So, surely you must have queried them & mentioned your vaccination history? Maybe there was a record keeping administration error!

    What was their response?

My first two shots were on Jan 25 and Feb 15 of Sinopharm.  I have just had my first shot of Pfizer and will have my second shot in a couple of weeks.  The contact tracing app we have here includes your vaccine and PCR test history and is updated every 8 minutes.  There is no mistake, and I am happy to get a second shot of Pfizer if it’s going to help me survive any COVID virus I might catch going forward. The app is the only accepted form of proof you have had a vaccine or PCR test, so they viewed it and confirmed on the computer system. I will try to upload a picture.

Jay Dee perhaps a different way of looking at it is those ANZACS efforts were not in vain as the freedom of choice to be jabbed or not is in your hands. They fought for our freedoms including your choice in this matter.

Govt here released stats yesterday. Of the roughly 13,000 deaths only 4 have been attributed directly to the china virus. People with comorbidities are going to die but you are a damn sight safer being vaxed than not.

You do realise that before vaccines the vast majority of soldiers died from disease right? The Tetanus vaccine for example was introduced to the armed forces in Australia in 1917 to stop soldiers from dying from things as insignificant as a splinter.

The ANZAC freedoms argument is nonsense.

So next ANZAC day when the media, politicians and everyone else are constantly reminding us about how they sacrificed so much for us and how we owe them for the freedom we have today. I won't take any notice then because apparently it's not true?

Its still the choice YOU can make Jay Dee. No one is forcing you to do it. I personally have had both jabs, your a adult make your own decision. Is it the fact that you feel forced to have it your concern or is it something else stopping you?

If I eventually didn't want to have any sort of life (not that I have much of one now) and I'll say income as well, I know I could make the choice not to.

The government my make the vaz compulsory so to help people with strong belief, pig headedness, religion, or peer pressure, can say I had the jab because I had to, but they can still keep they're attitude / belief.

I haven't said either way whether I have or haven't or would or wouldn't. I've merely made a point of how it is compulsory even if it allegedly isn't compulsory. That's assuming you don't want to be stuck in the house on government benefits ordering your groceries on line for the rest of your life.
