Work with a couple of anti-vaxers. One kept preaching about how they can't legally lock us down and how the government is using this covid scam (his words) to keep us under control and are making billions from it. Also the jab is an excuse to implant a micro-chip so they can also track our movements. Claims he reads about it on a independant news site because he doesn't trust the media.
I checked out the site he reads ( Australian National Review) and it is run by a serial scammer who was a property developer but has been banned by ATSIC for dogey practises and believes in all these conspiracy theories. I also told him to check the facts instead of reading garbage. Vaccines cost the government money, they don't make money with them and if they wanted to keep tabs on people they can use our mobile phones as everybody has one so they wouldn't need to inject a mico-chip into us. Told him that it should be a requirement to sit an IQ test before you are allowed to access the internet and he should be at the front of the queue.

Ah yes the flat earth brigade. Like most people i don't care if people don't want the vax, but don't hold me back because of your choices. For far to long we've had the minority dictate to the majority and now they cant cope with it.

Its interesting as well whats going on at the moment. I see that some crazy woman has been arrested " of inciting violent protests in Melbourne " via social media. Bail conditions magistrate Luisa Bazzani imposed included barring her from publishing anything that could incite breaches of the health orders.
She was also ordered to follow a court-imposed curfew between 7pm and 6am and remove any material that incited opposition to the health officer’s directions within 48 hours.
She refused the conditions and remains in remand.
A couple of things come to mind here...i personally dont believe in what she is spruiking in the slightest but surely shes entitled to her view and argument regardless if i or other people find it ill informed. Secondly how have we ended up jailing people who have alternative views to mainstream Australia..
At least this person has shown the conviction in their beliefs by refusing the conditions and remains in remand

    Agree Pauly
Very few would do what she has done.  Dont agree with her one bit but she is entitled to her opinion.  Stay in remand for as long as she likes.  One less potential super spreader to worry about.
Stay Safe boys.  250 at my factory in Bankstown.  We have been incredibly lucky with No positive cases.  Closest we have com is an employee was off for 4 days and then contracted it from her husband.  She wasnt positive at work but is now at home quite sick.

Absolutely agree. I am not an anti-vaxxer (1st jab is tomorrow) but the narrative on social media and google algorithms is so heavily policed it certainly doesn't help those who are sceptical or antivax, or even questioning everything that is going on. I think loosing that freedom of opinion and access to 'their side of the story' so people can make their own informed (rightly or wrongly) decisions is very real and very scary. I know...Who gives a fuck about social media? Lots of people get all their news there nowadays.

I dont have facebook , twitter etc myself and shake my head at the so called influencer nobody's who spew their ill informed ( personal opinion) views to the even less informed (personal opinion) who follow them. Regardless of my view or opinion they are still allowed to voice their view....till recently apparently. Are we saving them from themselves or for ourselves....just saying.

I find it amusing that if you do not want the jab you are labelled a "anti vaxxer". I got the jab because I cannot work without it. The science changes every couple of months around these vaccines & nobody seems to bat an eyelid about it. The latest studies in from Israel indicate there are less side effects from the AZ vaccine than the Pfizer & the best defence is once getting the virus is your body building natural immunity. Months ago it was about getting to the magical 70-80% to build herd immunity.. That has proven to be horseshit. Next there are going to be vaccine passports to move around. If you are vaccinated & it works, why would you give a flying fuck about being around people who are not? What this situation has shown me is how quick people are prepared to give up their freedoms on the word of politicians. We have gone from a nation who have distrusted our politicians (rightly so) to taking the bullshit they spew as gospel. Strange times...

I agree everyone is entitled to have an opinion and lots of anti vaxers and conspiracy theorists do publish their personal views online without any issue.

This woman likely did more than share an opinion given she was charged with inciting violent protests in Melbourne as part of her rhetoric. I’m glad they’re holding her in given she won’t agree to the bail conditions. The more people there are encouraging violent protests and alike, the greater the likelihood of violent protests and alike occurring which isn’t good for anyone and will spread things further, cause longer lockdowns, cost more money, get more fuckheads carrying on etc.  It needs to be nipped in the bud whenever possible.

She’ll get her day in court. Or contract covid inside (it’s going thru prisons and remand centres in nsw and isn’t beyond the realm of possibility as occurring in Victorian prisons too). Maybe then she’ll learn the harder way

    My opinion
I see the herd mentality at 70%-80% the same as vaccinated 70%-80%, this goal will have the same effect only the vaccinated will not get as sick, if vaxed, we will still pass it around but with less effect to other vaxed.
this lady in remand good on her for standing to her beliefs, but the protests are to try push their beliefs onto others that think differantly, the old tattoo guy dont care that you have none tats, I dont care if you dont have a jab (x2) I done it so I wont get to sick (or die)
eg: go to Linkedin (work facebook) and see every post by Tom Whittleton, he is annoying with re-posts of one sided views and rhetoric, in an industrial platform

as for your right to an opinion
you do, like assholes everyone has one, yet it is the way an opinion is expressed, we DON"T have freedom of speech, you can say anything you like but are subject to liability, a civil tongue will flap way longer than a sailors vocabulary, protesters generally loose sight of their own context and when challenged attack yours

    ultimately, RIGHTS
    everyone knows their rights, REALLY

all the illegal protesters that know their right to protest obviously don't, as stupid as it sounds, there is an set of step to a protest and one is permission, without it, its unlawful, authorities should march them all into barricaded streets and fine the lot of them, not just for being there, no mask (if needed), not following the 1.5 rule, and just plain stupidity, and failing to restrain their flapping tongue

Anybody got anything to say about Ivermectin?
please go for it, what you have heard, read, googled, for and against,
I have loved ones going down this path instead of the jab
please don't post the obvious, as they have been to their doctor and filled in forms for and ready to receive prescriptions

    cheers
would appreciate if any of you mob have or know people also going down down this road.

"RACGP - TGA issues fresh warning over ivermectin as COVID treatment" https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/tga-issues-warning-over-ivermectin-as-covid-treatm

The conspiracy theory is this drug is cheap and therefore suppressed by big pharma and investors in favour of the expensive alternative new vaccines, given the rampart corruption that is the norm in this world I can well understand how people could buy into it.

The few Worm Tablet fans I have come into contact with are emphatic in their views, but I find their arguments often engage terminology such as "experimental" when referring to the vaccine. Pot calling the kettle black much? Regardless, Ivermectin is not going to get you anywhere. Be prepared to suffer the consequences of your decisions. I don't wish to harp on about where I am and how things work here but I can tell you this much. Unless you are jabbed x 2 then forget any freedoms for the foreseeable future...possibly longer ;)

About 7-8 years ago, our pediatrician put our kids on a topical Ivermectin solution for school head lice. He said you could take it orally if you want. He was previously a senior Dr at Royal Childrens hosp, so I guess he new his stuff. I wouldn't be taken it from a container with pictures of pigs & cows on it tho. When the AZ blood clotting raised its ugly head, I hung out for pfizer, but now I hear bad side effects from that and are thinking maybe AZ is better.
