Reduce Pullback at Speed

Hey Champs,

Has anyone got any ideas on how to reduce that pullback Sporty’s seem to have at highway speed? I’m thinking of installing a set of T-Bars & a Memphis Shades cafe fairing - reckon that would make any difference?

The screen on the right is shit. 14” from top of headlight cutout to top centre of screen.
The screen on the right is much better. 17 1/2” from top of headlight cutout to top centre of screen it also has more lower area around the headlight.
I’m 6’ tall.
The buffeting and especially noise is worlds apart.

16inch lightly tinted, quick release screen is what ya need. I had one on my 2009 sporty custom, and now have same on my 2011 fxst
I put on for touring.

Windvest screen. First thing I did on my new Heritage Classic was take the screen off. Buffeting was dreadful and couldn’t see over or through it. I kept the 16” Windvest I had on the Deluxe. Installed and wammo! Beautiful!No buffeting and clear view over it. Will post a pic of my new bike with the Windvest .Cheers

Excellent solution to the issue there - but... now just got to wait for Beagle's opinion!

OK Wideglider here is my opinion. The clown that started this thread is the one and only speedy.
He has started another one about something similar. He seems to want to talk about " pullback "

Usually happens near closing time when thinking about cracking on to a half pissed female of questionable morals

Handle bars have rise and pullback.
Easiest way to measure is sit them upside down on the floor against a wall.
Rise is how far up the wall they go, pullback is how far out from the wall they go, subtract half bar thickness (x 2)

I’ll be taking the deuce for a ride up into the hills today to check out the service and new tyre fitted. I’m fitting the screen to prevent pullback. Will report

The OP has used incorrect terminology.
He is talking about wind resistance or drag as pointed out by Chester. I have never heard it referred to as 'pullback' except by the OP and steelo.
And I don't think it is any different on a sportser compared with any other 'harley or any other 'naked' bike.

Did you have anything positive to contribute ?
