    Hi all
I have just purchased progressive ps-31-2500  for front forks on my 2005 Flhpei ,after opening package found 2012 on the mono tubes .
Email progressive USA and have had no reply.
If this is the date of manufacture than this would mean they are 9 years old !
Not sure but to me it seem too long for a gas cartridge to be sitting around .
    Any ideas
    Michael

Send Rollies in Brissy a email or call them. They are Australian importers. Check with them

My bike is a bit newer, but I dont think a lot changed in 10 years. I looked at the Progressive suspension and spoke to the Harley dealer about them as it was an option upgrade. The long and short was I ended up going for Legend cartridges there seemed a bit more information around about them. The feedback that I got about the Progressive cartridges was the springs are a bit heavy, a bit heavier than the Legend ones. In saying that the Legend spring are too hard for my liking on the Dyna. I weigh 85kg, it would probably be great if I weighed another 20kg. They did make a massive difference to the handling buy did make the ride a bit harsh. If I had my time again I would possibly look at gold valves and separate springs to match. I used these on my DR, similar design to Harley and it made that old big feel like my Versys 1000 up front.

Leachy , over the years I've stuffed around on the front fork spring rate & damping.
but after I went to an expert to work out spring & damping for me personally. thats only way to go, but costs a bit more.

thanks for the update, I have just replaced the fork oil with standard "e" type and its an improvement, well at least back to stock. Seems the oil turns to crap after about 12 months. but like all damping rods , the faster you travel, the bumps hit harder. I was thinking the progressive tubes would keep the suspension the same at any speed.

If I was dont it again I would seriously look at Gold Valves and springs.

I believe there is a guy on here from Cairns which has gone that way with good results.
