Dont mean to hijack the thread but I drove the same stretch of the Hume highway again today and didnt see any black cockatoos.

Thanks for fuck all roadrunner with the explanation of the  man stork    You have blown my cover.

We have got the yellow tailed black cockatoos here, (Calyptorhynchus funereus) if we must be technical.
Here is a shot of some drinking out of my bathtub on the front lawn.

    That is pretty cool FC

Picture of the birds fantastic fc. What a treat (noisy?) when they turn up. Once a year is fine. Shame it’s in June. Still could always build a fire around the outside if the tub to take the chill out of the water. Can rest your knackers on the brick.

Ha Ha at my age i can hang them over the edge of the tub!

Are your neighbors happy with you scrubbing your weener in the bathtub on the front lawn once every month?

Quoting Far Canal on 02 Jul 2021 12:48 PM

What's this once every month stuff?
Only on my birthday, if I need it or not.
Too cold the rest of the time.

Feck me FC. That is the smallest ice skating rink I have ever seen! Only good for practicing your pirouettes.

    Cheers,

    Wade

Just read this, at least one journo seems to think they are OK...

Personally I have owned BMWs since the early 80s and even rode a R80GS around the world. North and South America, Europe, Russia across Siberia, down to China and back through the Middle East before crossing in to Africa. Ten years in total. Could fix anything on that bike on the side of the road. Shredded the clutch in Morocco and camped beside a UN outpost on the edge of the desert for two weeks while I waited for a clutch plate to be sent from the UK then replaced it literally on the side of the road.

Very curious to see what the Pan America is like.

Seems like HD are using that engine in several platforms. Reports have been good.

That sounds like an adventure and a half ww.  You must have a couple of good yarns to tell us about that trip.
I am sure there would be a few of us on the forum who would love to hear a bit more about that journey.
I  got stuck at the side of the road in an EH Holden for 4 days back in the day. Luckily enough for us it was right outside the roadhouse at the corner to Ayres Rock.  We got maggotted at the bar each night but the next day was boring as fuck waiting for the spare timing gear to come up from Adelaide.

Thanks BB, will try and dig out some old photos and post them. Left home in 89 and got back in 98 so they are paper photos, long before digital came about.

" We got maggotted at the bar each night" Sounds like the Aussie thing to do when you are broken down in an EH. ;)

You never told me any of these stories on our trip up north WW. You must have changed. What with your constant reading of the holy book, keeping to under the speed limit, tea drinking and all...
