Dunlop D401 V D404 on 03 Fatboy

Hi

ok so pretty simple .................REAR tyre issues on 2003 fatboy
- My Dunlop 401 gave 25,000 kms
- My Dunlop 404 gave 10,000 Kms

So im after some advice if anyone knows why a 401 gives a far better mileage than a 404.

tyre pressures on bothe tyres was 36 PSI and no i dont pull burn outs

The tyres look the same to me . One HD Dealer said that a D404 shoudl not be used on any HD Bike as its " not rated" to take that load .....bloody confusing .
The the dealer says you cannot get D401's anymore - what the fork .

Are you sure you got 25 k out of the back tyre? Did you lend the bike to your Grandmother?

BB - Yep 25 k all right . These aint sport bikes so they roll pretty much in a straight line unless you think you are Toby Price .

401 just seems to be so much better (just not sure why)
