Wireless Bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds

After losing one of my Samsung galaxy buds running (fell out whilst taking my beanie off and bounced into longish grass), Samsung quoted me $120 to replace the lost bud. So instead I’m gonna upgrade to a new pair for training and also want something that’ll work well for motorcycling.

Wanting to know which of these work well and fit ok inside a helmet.

I know there are other ways of listening to music, protecting one’s hearing from wind noise etc but I just wanna know what wireless noise cancelling Bluetooth ear bud options are workable. Looking at Sony wfsp800n buds at jb Hifi for $250 but unsure how they’ll fit inside the helmet. They don’t let you try any on and they’re displayed inside a locked case. Might take my helmet down and some gladwrap and see if they’ll let me try some on. I’d better clean my ears first too haha

    Thanks.

Hi fb. Sorry you lost part of the headset.
    Why noise cancelling?
The only thing you really need to reduce is the wind and road noise.
What about some of the form fitted ear bud speakers. They come with Bluetooth. Because the are custom the fill in your ear, don’t interfere with the helmet (which nc ones will due to size)
Are you looking for phone functionality?  Then name brand bt headset with helmet mounted speakers us going to be a better option. If road / wind noise too much, wear ear plugs for the long rides.

Already got good ear mould ear plugs for eliminating noise and listening to music at healthy volumes whilst riding.  They’re good but wired and have no Bluetooth functionality. I can operate them via Bluetooth running the line to a small Bluetooth receiver Velcro’d to the back of my helmet but they're not suitable for jogging when I don’t jog with my phone but listen to tunes via Bluetooth from my Garmin Fenix smart watch. Also I don’t want lines dangling around when jogging.

After noise cancelling wireless ear buds so I can train and jog without noise including shit music they play at the gym, wind noise etc.  And as a bonus can use them on the bike to eliminate all noise and listen to tunes and without wires. Plus use them on plane travel and heaps of other stuff like when kids are giving me the shits. I don’t care about phone stuff as don’t do phone calls or sms when I’m riding or jogging. Couldn’t think of anything worse, but wireless earbuds allow one to do this if you want and active or software driven noise cancellation does it better than anything else.

Not interested in anything else. Been there and done that. Want the new tech that does it all without compromise. And gonna buy non black colour which are fucked to find if they fall out. The new tech in this product type also enables one to find them via tile system or alert in the event you lose them.

I like mr soapies options. The AirPods are lower profile and the helmet ones look great. 👍🏻

Pulled the pin on Samsung galaxy pro noise cancelling ear buds. Didn’t tick all my boxes but I got a deal too good to pass up and they’re reasonably compact so will fit inside a helmet ok.

The active noise cancelling isn’t as good as that offered in the premium Bose and Sony buds but those premium buds are a lot bulkier which isn’t great for wearing inside a helmet or for jogging. I get a reasonably good seal in my ears with Samsung so passive noise cancelling with some ok active noise cancelling will do the job

Thanks steelo. They’re the Apple pro buds being reviewed. They mention at the end the Samsung live buds which my Samsung pro buds superseded and should be as good as the airpod pro buds if. It better. The review of the air bud pros for use on motorcycles was pretty positive though so thanks for sharing
