Saw this on U.S Ebay.
$155,000 Aussie bucks plus shipping, plus G.S.T, plus paying all other sorts of dodgy people to get it to Australia.
China shop bull, who used to be on this forum was on the lookout for one.

Well they have done a pretty good job with the 2021 Electra Glide, except for the seat.
The Knuckle is a very nice looking motor (especially the head from the right hand side). The Panhead often gets credited with being the best looking motor but I reckon the Knuckle is a better looker. Really can't see HD do the design changes to the engine components to get a modern homage but it sure would be cool. S&S has done modern homages to Pans,Knucks and shovels but they are not really close enough looking to be convincing for me but I guess there are copyright issues.
Krash, you sure about 1000cc the add does say 1200.?

EL is 61 inch or 1000 cc. FL is the big twin. The close up photo of the engine number shows 38EL.

The Knucklehead is a very beautiful model but $155,000.00 ??
just for shits and giggles let’s find out if this is worth what they ask for...
If I was an all cashed up novice with no knowledge about vintage motorcycles but wants to have it just to gather dust in the lounge room..why not!
If I was going to buy this bike, there’s a few things about it’s description that I found somewhat questionable.A 1938 EL Knucklehead is not a rare bike it’s a hard to get one ,the add mention 2289 bikes made in 1938 which is incorrect there was actually 2478 EL models made in 1938(comprising the ES version which was geared for side cars)
All reproduction parts for Knucklehead models can be available for restoration, frame forks, tinware, engine /gearbox handlebars etc..
However it won’t add extra value to the price of the bike as it’s a rebuild with reproduction parts and not restored from original parts.
However if the bike is completely original and by original it means nothing has been tempered with all electrical should be as per factory specs(6 volts) and as an exemple Headlight should be Cycle-ray.The engine serial numbers of the one fitted onto the bike should have the vin numbers stamped on or prior to “38 EL 2478”.This bike has got vin# 38 EL 2985,the numbers don’t seem to be bogus.Motorcycle factories used to build complete engine and gearboxes as spares to be sold off the shelves and was a current practice back then. Unfortunately this one does not qualify for original engine...Also the frame should be brazed not welded ...
But if anyone buy this bike at this price they will be “”ecstatic” to know that it would be serviced by their"Master technician"before delivery(I’m not making it up read the add Lol)
In my opinion...”Tell them they are dreaming!”
The value of a 1938 EL Knucklehead is between $90.000 in a fair condition(original parts) to $120.000 Concourse condition!
