Old mate has a Tri Glide, Is there anyone out there who has one and has trouble with reverse, and harsh ride.
What cures did you use to fix. I know ,I know, here we go again with tire pressure air in suspension and electric reverse motors/solenoids.  But there does seem to be an issue with them.

    Thanks.

dicko, a mate has one think he got it last year, & he mentioned reverse made a noise. he took it back to dealer, who checked it & said was ok, then latter on he said the noise just went away, I think they use an electric reverse something like a starter motor.

Yes it is a starter motor and solenoid arrangement and it keeps breaking down.( simply does not work.) I suspect it is the brushes in the motor getting stuck and making bad contact to the commutator. He has replaced the brushes, commutator, and solenoid. bastard of a job . i wasn't present when it was done so i still go for sticking brushes.worked for a short time then quit again. We might have another go at it!!!

I used the reverse on the wife Tri Glide the other day, about 10m bit jerky at the start but smoothed out, had that wrrrrrr noise the whole way
the wife thinks it sticks in a couple times, I suggested she releases the button and let it roll a bit to release before putting in 1st gear
it is also a little gutless if there is a bit of an incline

The Can-Am Syder reverse was very much better (a real gear)

I think if I owned one, I would push it back ( we do that with our MC anyway )
